Midway through my journey driving from Indiana to the west side then back to Indiana of course I was starving and Three-Ds is less than a mile away from my out west destination. I called in my order the 1/2 white dinner with Mac and cheese, cabbage, and red beans and rice. It took about 20 minutes and I only paid $13.75! When I told my cousin who was with me I was about to stop for food she asked why I didn’t tell her she was hungry too. I didn’t tell her because I had intended on sharing the dinner. When I brought the food to the car she said dam it’s heavy lol. The amount of food they give you compared to the prices is a steal. I loved everything but my cousin was disappointed about the Mac and cheese it wasn’t cheesy enough for her. I added some Cajun seasoning to the cabbage the chicken was perfect. The gravy they put on top of the rice was a hit! The man who took my order addressed me by name and was nice. Can’t wait to visit my favorite west side restaurant again
HONEST REVIEW !!!Maybe I ordered to late in the day it was after 7pm........I ordered through Uber Eats which is ALWAYS an expensive gamble especially as of late. My opinion of the food I purchased and recieved upon my first impression is generous portions given and edible...... yet flavors were underwhelming and honestly almost not present. I ordered the oxtail dinner which came with rice and peas, yams and cabbage w/ carrot. The oxtails were old dry and fatty and very dark perhaps from reheating and microwaving the gravy was basically just oil another indication that the oxtails were older than desired. The rice was okay but very little peas (beans) were in them, the yams were good but the cabbage was very bland.I also ordered the 1/2 Jerk Chicken dinner same sides . First off it was not all white as I had a thigh which last time I checked was considered dark meat.The chicken was okay but not fresh and you had to use the extremely spicy jerk sauce included to amp up the flavor because it tasted like oven baked jerk otherwise. The gravy was a dark gelatinous congealed glob that was salty with no particular flavor to it either.The food was not horrible but I was not impressed. I am used to more robust flavors, hearty gravies and sauces , grilled chicken and spices and ingredients like onions,peppers and sprigs of thyme in my Carribean or Jamaican cuisine. I got none of that with this purchase.
I wanted medium but it was well done..... TBH he hasn't let me down yet ???? try the ox tails OMG amazing and the yams
I called to say that their level of cooking has been down graded. The manager had the nerve to say they can't please everyone? 1st & foremost you should have said miss I am sorry that you were not pleased. No one who expects to have returning customers should ever speak that way. I will drive to the South side its worth the drive. I will never beg & pay you too. If you continue to use that non caring attitude, how long do you think Your business will survive?Don't forget you need customers to keep you in business. TASTE YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE FACILITY!!!
I wish I could give them a million stars. The catering trays are where it's at.
Had no flavor….. cabbage was 100% see through and the fish was bland… chicken was the only thing that was seasoned but I’m never eating this again.
Best time to go is when they first open at 1pm or 12 pm opening varies by day according to the schedule on their front door Blessings to All in King Lord Jesus Mighty name ?
Do yourself a favor and go to another Jamaican restaurant. The rice was hard and undone and the chicken was so dry it reminds me of the two day old Turkey leftovers fromThanksgiving, the cabbage was blandAnd Mac n cheese is mediocre. Just go to McDonald’s you’re hungry cause this ain’t worth the disappointment and still being hungry cause you threw it to the trash ?
