One of my favorite reggae bars for live music, Latin & afro beats. Great jerk chicken & nice atmosphere. The dance floor is pretty small but there is lots of space to sit I'm the back.
Danced the night away and got great service. What more can you ask for? Live music and a diverse crowd. #lovejones
Good vybes. Wish I caught live music longer. Food smelled great but kitchen was closing
Entertainment was great and so was the customer service. The food was average. The jerk chicken/plantain was good but the sides were mushy (rice-peas/cabbage). I like my rice to separate.
Let’s be honest — this is a legendary spot and doesn’t need my review! However, I loved it so much I have to share. I went in solo on a Saturday (5/29) around 9:30 pm. Cover was $15 for the live show, which is completely reasonable. The bartender was excellent, friendly and communicative even with minimal conversation. While I love a good bartender chat, you should come here for the music. A live DJ was performing a great reggae mix set when I got in, and a bit after 10, the live set began. A TV/speakers at the bar play the show, so you can chill there and avoid the crowd. While I didn’t try it, the food looked and smelled delicious. I am, however, a fan of rum drinks and those don’t disappoint. I had a few of the famous rum punches and a reggae mule. Those paired with the music made sure I left with good vibes!
Soooo much fun the dj had a great music selection. His transistion were ehhhhh. Be ready to dance the dance floor is a nice size perfect for the atmosphere. Old dance hall vibe; the spot is split in 2 sides one more bar. I will say the security checked ID but didnt pat and frisk. Overall 8.5 of 10 would reccomend and go again
The lady behind the bar closest to the main stage (light skinned black woman) lied abt the bar being closed when walked up to the bar but yet She served other patrons and 5 mins later I sent my husband to her to ask for the SAME drinks & she served him no question. For a $15 cover charge it's ridiculous that this establishment would allow a bar tender to pick and choose WHO to serve and who not to.***I was not drunk at all & was able to go to both the other bars to order drinks with no issue. The bartender was JUST being choosy about who to service*** please be aware of this if you decide to visit & I hope you get good service -- who's to say?
I came from out of town to visit this Wild hare with my family for Mother's day and I was very disappointed with the burnt chicken we received. We had a to go order we spent almost $200 dollars. Basically we received Saturday night left overs and they re-cooked it. Im a cook this was bad good and a few ladies tried to eat and got sick. So disappointed ?
We waited one hour for our food. I ordered oxtails and paid $35. I was presented with 2 sliced oxtails. Never ever ever again…
The bbq jerk wings, and the brisket fries were awesome. But the highlight of our visit was the bartender Catherine. Stop in and tell her Bill says hi.
