I have Celiac Disease so I always call restaurants before I go to see if there is anything I can eat and whether they will be able to accommodate this. When I called Spice Room to tell them I have Celiac Disease and ask about gluten free options, the person on the phone assured me that most dishes are gluten free and noted the few that weren’t. I told her I would place an order online. I placed the order and noted in the comments that I have Celiac and to change gloves/wash hands etc. when handling my food. 20mins later when my husband was on his way to get our food, I received a call from the same person I had spoken to earlier, saying that they were canceling our order. When I asked why, they said it was because I have celiac disease and they don’t want to take any risks. This is honestly the first time this has ever happened to me and it was very disappointing. Anywho, all my Celiac peeps, be warned—this isn’t the place for you.
When you need excellent Indian food delivered straight to your door in an hour or less, The Spice Room never disappoints. Rife with classics, the menu covers a lot of ground—from veg korma.The vegetarian options are commendable, too, with both okra and mushroom masala as well as a stellar aloo gobi, an amber-hued dish that finds cauliflower and potatoes coated in rich spices. For dessert, the gulab jamun are not to be missed—golfball-sized balls of fried dough are saturated in sugary syrup.
Fantastic food. I’ve only ordered delivery orders and have never dined in. I’ve been extremely pleased with the food each time I’ve ordered. Food is fresh with the Perfect amount of spices in every dish. I hope to try other items on the menu soon!
I like spicy, I really do -but the level of spice here was unexpected, especially for butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala.They were borderline for me, and there was no way the wife or kids could eat it.Normally these dishes are not spicy so I was figuring them a safe choice. I was wrong
Love the biryani and chana masala
Ordered 3 Vegetable Biryani and 1 Chicken biryani ToGo on 12/31; they delivered it extremely hot. Rice was ok but the vegetable mix is awful. It’s definitely 4-5 days old curry they mixed into the rice. Biryani was smelling very bad as it cooled down. It’s spoiled, they just microwave it serve it to you.Chicken biryani was ok, not in terms of taste but atleast not spoiled.Be aware guys don’t just take it just because it’s hot. It was waste of 3 Veg Biryani money on a party day.I am sure other items are served the same way ..
Had a bad delivery for a much anticipated New Years alone dinner with my wife...they forgot the Samosas, which is something we always look forward to. Compounded by Grub Hub who's rep basically hung up on us when we complained. The rep told us we needed to spend another $70 to have them delivered after we had just spent over a hundred for dinner for two. Not going to let it ruin our night, but I am disappointed. Only fault on Spice Room is they forgot our samosas, but Grub Hub will get no more business from us.
i’ve ordered takeout from the spice room several times and it has always been great but tonight was my first time dining in-person and it was a whole new world! everything from the service to the price to the atmosphere was fantastic and my meal tasted better than it ever has before! the veg tikka masala is a must-try and the garlic naan is so fresh, soft, and flavorful that my mouth is watering all over again just thinking about it. great place to order from, but i would recommend everyone visit in-person as well!
Some of the items we ordered were fine but most of the things were horrible in taste. They don't know how to cook Indian dishes for sure. The main curries were horrible and nowhere near to what it should taste like. The naan was good and so was the daal. But won't be going back.
This place is fantastic!! I never thought I would enjoy a drink with garam masala in it. I loved it so much I got 2! There was a mix up with our order but the staff was understanding. They went above and beyond to make it right. Our group appreciates it :)We will definitely be back, this time for brunch!
