They have a beautiful patio for a quaint outdoor gathering or a nice lunch. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Got very lucky with parking in such a busy neighborhood. Would recommend.

Better-than-average bar food, but a long wait for our food at brunch when outdoor seating is open (at its busiest).
Went for restaurant week and food and drinks were great. Meatball appetizer was super soft and tasty, salads were tasty, entree was a little salty, and my gf had to send back her steak (she ordered medium and it came well done), but other than that it was great. Definitely would come back

Out of all my years going to several bars. This bar caught me with quiet a few surprises. I gladly sat down in the bar with no problems bartender was nice of course. Food was great also. Let’s not forget to mention having two servers which were male & female being underage? What’s the problem with that, literally overheard there conversation about them both being only nineteen years old. I find it ridiculous on how they have underage servers, literally serving alcohol in this establishment. City of chicago isn’t going to be so happy about this when they find out what this establishment is doing. That will be sooner than later after they see this review and have someone be sent out to the establishment!!!!Update 03/08/2022: So you’re also telling me it’s also legal to let those same minors consume alcohol? Pretty outrageous to do so, seeing that they were consuming alcohol in front of my face.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at the Royal Grocer. We sat in the backroom, which was very quiet with only one other party, on a Sunday at 1:30p. The waitstaff was very friendly and professional, and checked in often but unobtrusively. Drinks and food were excellent. Portions were perfect and prices very fair. Recommended certainly for brunch!
