I’m usually not one to leave a bad review because it’s hard to anger me. I really wanted to try this place, but we had to leave because the hostess sat multiple people who came in after us before us. We were only a party of 3 & we saw people grab a number and get seated while we were still waiting right before our eyes. She originally said “it will only be a few minutes I promise.” Which was already a red flag because she didn’t give us a time. We waited 40 minutes until they said it was a full house & it would be a while before anyone else to be seated before we just called it quits. It seemed as if she knew a lot of the people coming in, which is probably why they were seated before us. Understandable, but very irritating.
I've been in this place everytime I land in Chicago. Everything is tasty. We order pancakes, crepes, and omelettes. There's a waiting line and usually it extends outside. They refill coffee and service is very quick. I don't need to mention taste because every single meal you try is perfect. I don't think you can book. So try coming here on weekdays.
I had the meat lover skillet. I wanted pepper Jack cheese in my eggs. The cheese was placed on top of my potatoes. The menu has been change. I couldn't find want I normally order. The breakfast was not as delicious as usual. I am disappointed.
Every time we visit Chicago, we make it a point to visit this particular Original pancake house. The customer service is always superior, and the food is always hot and delicious. Our server was wonderful, and I made it a point to let her know this because this is t always the case nowadays, so we certainly appreciate great customer service. The pancakes oh my - the best pancakes around as they do melt in your mouth. :) It’s very clean and tidy inside - I highly recommend this place - enjoy!
I always have good service here.I do however always want my food right because I do not eat a meal like this butonce in a day. I have not been in about 4 months.When I am here I get either the farmer scrabbled without mushrooms. I may have a omelette with the same ingredient but with Gouda cheese.I go for all green veggies and pepper jack cheese. I do not eat pancakes here.I get a well toasted close to black English muffin smothered in butter with strawberry preserves .Drink: Orange Juice with Grapefruit juice a beautiful waitress suggested for me.
so good. probably the best location i’ve been to. the eggs were the best eggs i’ve ever had at a restaurant
Everything here was delicious! The service was very quick especially for the amount of people in there. There was a long line to get in but only waited about 10 minutes to get seated! I ordered the strawberry pancakes with sausage and eggs. Everything was nice and fresh! I thoroughly enjoyed everything! My only complaint is for the price you pay (which I expect being in Chicago) the portion sizes are quite small compared to what I've had elsewhere and I left there still a little hungry.
Restaurant hostess seated us immediately. The faint smell of clorox/disinfectant (a comfort now during the days of a pandemic) gave us even more comfort. All restaurant staff wore their masks appropriately. Our waitress was very attentive even with the many tables she was serving. Food came quickly and it was delicious! Most definitely will be back!
Always a good breakfast with a smile. Tiffany provides great quick service everytime.
My daughter in law is from Texas she Only eats here When she comes to Chicago 2times she didn't get her Chocolate Chip pancakesThe Manager on duty that Day. Drove the Pancakes!!! To my house 79th cause she was Flying back to Texas at5pm. I had Mentioned she was Pregnant. Really Appreciate!!!That Manager That's customer service
