The establishment is rather dark and unwelcoming although the service was quite acceptable. Very hard to observe from the street. Although they ostensibly observe Chicago’s “mask mandate” I could not help but observe them “enforce” the policy on a potential customer (great to see) while NONE of the staff wore mask! The food was acceptable though not remarkable. The rib eye was tender, a perfectly grilled medium rare, though palatably under seasoned. The green beans and greens were well seasoned and almost perfectly prepared (green beans a bit soft—they’d be perfect if cooked a minute less, but are cooked to order). The meat loaf was tasty but rather pedestrian. The mashed potatoes were a bit bland and not rescued by the gravy which was good. I suspect neither was prepared to order, unlike the steak and vegetable side offerings. The cornbread was also okay—great flavor but not spectacular. I’ll return to further explore the menu offerings, but can only offer a 7 out of 10 today. The food is above average, but nothing to write home about.

Great service, good food. It’s kinda hard to find, pretty dim inside. Wasn’t too much going on. Try the pan seared lemon and dill catfish!!!

We hosted my cousins repast here.The staff were very friendly.courteous,and on point all our orders were correct,and made to order in a decent amount of time ,our food was hot,and fresh I definitely recommend this for your next event or date night!!!
The food was great, I will definitely be coming back with my family. The staff were super friendly which is harder to find in restaurants. I wish I could have took pictures but the food did last long enough for us to get any.

The menu here is comparable to some larger restaurants! Some unique items. The bartenders pour generously. I'm there almost every week!
