Got a vegan jibarito, which came with rice and beans. The vegan jibarito is basically vegetables, which mostly meant bell peppers, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Also got a veggie empanada, which similarly was a lot of bell peppers. Was expecting more of a spicy food, but it really wasn't. First time trying, but probably won't be the last since I really liked the plantains. The service was speedy, and prices were very reasonable.

This was an awesome experience. The Jibarito was top notch. I do not have a comparison as this was the first type of this sandwich that I've ever eaten. I had the pork Jibarito and fried potato ball. I should have tried the sweet hot sauce to kick the heat up. Not h albeit quite good without. The rice and gandules was hella tasty.

The vegan mofongo was insanely good. I was blown away and even my Puerto Rican partner was blown away, too. Their white rice and beans are very delicious, too. I wish their vegan piñon was available but I’ll have to come back next time. To be honest, the vegan jibarito was kind of bland and I would not recommend eating it, but thankfully they have much better vegan options available.

Jibaritos (sandwiches made with fried plantains instead of a bun) are a Chicago invention and what a good idea they are! We stopped here for lunch before going on to the National Museum of Mexican Art. I had a half chicken jibarito with yellow rice and pigeon peas and my daughter had a chicken plantain salad which came with so much chicken. Very tasty and filling. Don’t order a full size sandwich unless you are extremely hungry.

I use to love this place. However today I was extremely disappointed. I waited 25 minutes to get my jibarito & rice. It wasn’t even crowded when I got there. They had a full staff working. I went to the staff to ask for hot sauce & to let them know my steak in the sandwich was cold. Instead of being nice, the person wanted .30 cents for extra sauce! seriously! Where is the good customer service?

I took my mom here last week because we both had been craving some Jibaritos. Well let me tell you this place definitely met our expectations!! You can definitely tell their food is fresh and specially since most of the things are fried you can tell they don't use old recycled oil. We ordered the pork ones and they were amazing this will definitely be a well recommended place for my friends and family. And we will definitely visit again also their prices are reasonable and you definitely get good portions. Customer service was also excellent thank you for such wonder experience!

AHHHH-MAZINGGGG! Had lunch here today and it was definitely one of those local places that is a must-go when you're in the Pilsen area. Heck, when you're in Chicago! Was there for about 1.5 hours and the place never had a "slow" moment. The customers were constantly coming in and out and delivery services were constantly picking up bags and bags of orders. You know it's that good! Arroz con gandules was one of the best I've ever had and the chicken stew was incredible. Sweet plantains to top it off and I was in heaven and wish my stomach had more room. Already planning to come back. So happy to have found this place. Definitely recommend 100%!
