We were there this morning. Ordered a few plates and the service was incredible!! Bathrooms and restaurant were super clean and everyone was super friendly. Sasha was extremely helpful and made sure we were taken care of. We will for sure be back and I definitely recommend!
I haven't been to The Halal Guys in years, so when I saw this location, I decided to give it a try again. Ended up getting the Beef Gyro Platter, the lettuce and tomatoes where crisp, and Beef Gyro, rice and white sauce were tasty as well. The staff was friendly and service was pretty prompt. Think next time I may get the chicken platter.
This location of Halal Guys is a scaled down store with limited menu and choices. When I walked in today at 11:30 am, the TV hosting the menu, was inoperative despite many efforts by the staff. Also the entire staff of Hispanic and Black Americans were helpful, supportive and understanding as they tried to help me make a selection. I had to Google them and open the menu until I realized that not everything is available here.On the chicken sandwich that I got specifically, it is made with pita bread and not the much better choice of shrak bread. The sandwich was tasty and delicious with minimal garnishment and their hot sauce is really hot. That said, the sandwich needs careful handling as the fillings and the sauces make it soggy and cumbersome to eat. I finally had to lay it open and cut it with knife and eat it. The foil wrapper was oozing sauces and making it extremely difficult to eat out of hand.In my opinion, this location is being down played by the management for whatever reasons and hence the limited choices and ill-equipped staff. If not for the staff's effort to handle the situation, I would probably not bother going again.
You can never go wrong with the chicken platter. Total comfort food!
Very good experience! The staff is extremely friendly and cheerful especially Sasha. The food was great and very generous quantities. The place is perfectly clean. I totally recommend!
Tasty food but very poor service. My son and I love middle eastern food and we were happy to stumble across this place. Until we went to order our food. We ordered a Falafel platter for my son and the gentleman behind the counter immediately started preparing it, asking us questions abt what we wanted on it. We felt very rushed. I was still deciding and then as he continued on the platter, I told him my order - a falafel sandwich - and he snapped at me "you should have told me at the same time you ordered the platter!" And he continued to make a couple additional rude comments about this. My son and I were shocked at how rude he was! We had ordered the platter a mere 20 sec at the most earlier! Well, one and done! We will never return and make sure we warn others about the poor service. It's too bad - the other gentleman who rang us up was very pleasant and the food was tasty.
It was the best halal guys experience that I’ve ever had. Especial thanks to Kendall who was nice, polite and gave overall perfect service. Everything was so fresh the meat was so delicious. The halal guys is one of my favorites for a fast meal with no wait. A good experience thanks to people who work at this location.
So we were looking for something quick to eat after the show at the Chicago theater and we stumbled across this place. Tiny location but don’t let that for you, the food here was really good. The staff was very friendly and the food had so much flavor. We didn’t realize that this was a chain because it didn’t taste like your typical chain restaurant. Very good spot!!!!
Very delicious and generous amount. I ordered the small chicken platter and it is plentiful.
Awesome, local spot in the loop for some classic Meditteranean for cheap. I believe it is based in NYC and this is the first location in Chicago, so it's not as well known right now, but do yourself a favor and stop by. No long lines (yet) and quick delicious food
