Great experience. We arrived at 11pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. We may have gotten lucky but it was great and a perfect view to the performers. The band was fantastic, as was the overall vibe. Believe the hype; we had an amazing time.Oh, my favorite thing about this place? The host/manager, when introducing the band for their last set and later last song, reiterated that we're all here for the music. Not for your personal conversations and distractions. I love that. I would give 10 stars to anyone, and any place, that puts their musicians over the rudeness of its loud patrons.

The ambiance was amazing! The band was amazing! The experience is amazing! The bartender had an attitude and the drinks were sub par... For a place that really only does jazz and drinks... We imagined the drinks would be spectacular. Don't go expecting great drinks or service. Go for the fun time and the band!!

This place is absolutely fantastic! The music was hot, the drinks were cold (and strong!). Don't forget your cash, but there is an ATM in the front in the worst case. Quite a few people were dressed in vintage clothes to come listen to the band. It was a lot of fun.

Absolutely one of the best nights out ever! Went to see the Chicago Cellar Boys and it was incredible. Everything you could hope for and more for music fans of the 1920s and 30s jazz era. The place was beautiful and full of history!

Cover was $10 but depends on the band. I visited here on Thursday but there’s full of people. Great music with amazing band, very happy vibes, I loved this place!

A fabulous slice of yesterday’s Chicago. We went on a Sunday night and the jazz trio was amazing, even though they played behind the bar and not on the main stage. Bring cash as that is all they take.Great atmosphere and Tom, the bar tender was amazing.

I visited for the 1st time on Saturday night 1/29. I absolutely give this place 5 stars for the venue and the music. The jazz was phenomenal and the bar itself was very cool. I reduce my overall rating for 2 reasons. 1) the guy at the front door collecting money was extremely rude. He yelled at a couple groups of girls to "shut the door" and was really annoyed about me fumbling around for my "proof of vaccination". Let's just say that he isn't your best first impression. The girl (I think? ) that was making the PSA announcements telling us in grade school fashion to basically "shut up" while the music was playing and that we were "so lucky" to be there listening to live music was overly dramatic. Again, I think this place is awesome and I shall return to give it another try, but please spare me all the drama and the charade around "rules". I realize that your product is very good, but you need to chill out and stop having so much contempt for the audience. It will eventually catch up to you.

Great night of jazz music. Get there before 9 if you want a seat. Make sure you park legit too they tow around there.

Wonderful place to come to. Thursday night there is a live orchestra that plays jazz music and some people get up to swing dance. It’s so cool and fun to watch. The drinks are great and the prices are reasonable. They don't serve food hear and its cash only. Most nights they do have cover. There is an ATM inside. The history is really interesting as Al Capone used to come here quite a lot back in the day. The place was also used in one of the episodes of Chicago PD that aired on January 2015 as a spot the drug cartel hung out at, and was referred as Al Capone’s old hangout spot. Great spot to hang solo or to bring a date. Definitely a spot to be checked out. You’ll be glad you did.
