Super good. Chili was awesome and so was wiener schnitzel. My bartender Ben was excellent as well...he made a mean Old Fashioned!
Ouch… cold pretzel, stale beer… but understanding staff
Gumbo (Chicken, Andouille, shrimp, rice) .
I had the bratwurst sandwich w fries. They were out of tea n out of lemonade, wound up getting a double Bailey's. The brat was short, maybe 4.5", n 2" thick. Taste was good, much easier to eat w knife n fork. What I did was slice it into thin sections but not all the way through that we're easier to bite off. I ordered it with onions n kraut. The kraut - like a warm paste w kraut in it - was quite good. The onions were not chopped but a few inches long, thin n tough to bite off, a real drag. Shouldn't a Chicago bar know how to do a brat? Solid but not great. Fries were really good.My son had the Glunz burger w fries n gave it 4 stars.Place is very popular, but everything on Wells is busy.
