This was another restaurant in Chicago I wanted to revisit after I heard it moved to another location! My friend and I had savory crepes today (lox and ham & cheese), and we were fully satisfied with our choices I do want to come back to try their sweet crepes again, and the ambience is beautiful for dining with your friends — if you do like crepes, try this place out!
Loved both the crepes we got! I got the Wild Berry Cheesecake and my friend got the Lox crepe. Best sweet/savory treat and the aesthetic of the place was pretty!
I've enjoyed crepes here on 3 different visits! good for splitting with someone if it's too much sweet for one person. the vibes and live plants are very relaxing. the lattes are decent too, but not their strong point.
I was craving crepes and really wanted to try this place. I had the lox crepe. It was fantastic. It was full of flavor, had plentiful of lox and cream cheese. My husband had the butter crepe with strawberries he really liked it. The coffee and lattes were hot and fun. Great place to eat. I’ll always come back.
Quiet and cozy place. The menu is limited to crepes (both sweet and not sweet) and coffee. It's a self-service restaurant: you order, get a buzzer, after it buzzes you pick your food, then you clean up dishes at the end of the counter. Therefore it is a little surprising to be asked 15, 20 or 25% tip.The food was good, the prices were fair, the coffee was terrific.
Great place for brunch or breakfast. I've visited this establishment a total of 4 times.I ordered the Is wildberry crape, shot of espresso, a lavender latte, and a regular latte on the different occasions i visited. The scervice is great and friendly, the environment is very relaxing. It's a screen free zone, meaning laptop work isn't encouraged. Will visit again when I'm in town
We came here on a Tuesday morning and loved this place. The atmosphere was so cozy and chill, and the waiters are very friendly. I love their lox crepe. We also got the butter me up and the honey truffle. Loved the taste of sweet and savory and the layers of texture in the honey truffle. Their crepe are so good. The flavors blend in together perfectly.
Delicious crepes, cozy, relaxed and lovely place, cool staff. I had the Nutella banana crepe & cold latte, and they were so good! My hubz said he didn't like crepes he ended up eating half. We will come back for the same or other flavors.
Absolutely excellent cafe and crepe shop in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago. The coffee is great but as their namesake suggests, the crepes here are absolutely phenomenal. Whether you choose a savory or sweet crepe, you'll love the offerings that The Crepe Shop bestows upon its patrons. It's a no screens cafe, meaning no laptops or iPads, encouraging people to hang out, read a book, play a game or just indulge in some wonderful crepes!
