This is where you bring close friends and family who enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and absolutely glorious seafood. Great oysters. The larger combos come with steamy hot pieces of crab, shrimp and lobster smothered in a mix of garlic spicy goodness. Best of all, great service and good selection of beer and shooters. Grab a table. Have a shot, get messy. It's an incredible experience.
It was just ok. Nothing wow! The starter we ordered was a shrimp basket which when it came was just 5 shrimps! Not much of a basket! With super oily Cajun garlic fries. Main was lobster tail with rice and veggies. Lobster tail was super tiny. Like they cooked the tiniest tail they could find. And for that price, seemed like a rip off. Rice was dry and veggies were subpar. Best part of it all was the bottomless Minute Maid lemonade drink. Ambiance is ok. Host at the front is brutish when instructing you where to go, sit. The worst was their bathroom which was an utter mess. And given how close it is to the kitchen, just wasn’t pleasing to see that mess. Like others have said, doubt I’d return. For what you pay, definitely not worth what you get!
Beware!!! This locations has a MANDATORY TIP of 20% for 3-4 people. Even if it is two couples. They don’t tell you that!! If you call they won’t mention BUTif you decide to go DO NOT reserve table. The parking is so bad that they ALWAYS have a table ready we parked 4 blocks away !! If it’s only 3 people separate the check!!The tip can be as high as $70 for 3 people outside of the food!!! Which by the was was $400 for 3 bags of seafood ONLY 1/2 snow crab legs and 1/2 shrimp and one alcohol drink and 2 baskets of hicken wings and 1 order of fries PLUS a COVID fee!! I forget to add 3 sodas Check it out for yourself.
If I could give them a negative star I would. The sauce was too sweet and 2 thick. The oysters were disgusting. The owner was upset that we canceled our oyster order. If you know what good sea food taste like you probably wouldn’t like it
This place is okay! The website menu is laid out well, and the service is friendly/great. Even with extra sauce, it’s not as saucy like some other boil spots which we were a little disappointed about. The sauce is a little too thin, but the max spice level is great.Bonus that they let you take out raw oysters. Great value for what you get it you order the combo bag(s) and add on from there.Still on the hunt for the best boil in Chicago.
Delicious and unique experience! Would be fun for a group or an adventurous date. BYOB, but also serve wine by the glass and beers. Food is very flavorful and generously portioned. Definitely pricey at $50 pp. Come hungry!
Ordered hours ahead for a scheduled pick up, order was not ready until over 30 minutes after the scheduled pick up time. I asked when it would be ready and was told by the host a brisk "I don't know, could be 5 or could be 30 I don't know". No apologies, no attempts at finding out the timeframe, overall unacceptable customer service. This was around 8PM on a Monday. For a pricier place with no parking, I expect a promise to be fulfilled within a reasonable window of time. I will not be ordering from this location again.
Food was subparThe waiter asked how the crawfish taste and revealed they are not in season so the taste isn’t good. Mind you he told me AFTER I ordered them. Also the chargrilled oysters were disgusting. Asked to speak to the manager and was ignored
This use to be my favorite place to eat. When they first opened about 6-5 years ago. Now my last 3/4 visits after eating here I’ve gotten sick the worse feeling in the world. I don’t know if it’s food poisoning COVID what but it definitely left me sick as a dog. I still love this restaurantWill probably go to the original one on Lincoln tho
It was pretty good....I would have loved some mayo on the Lobster roll...but it was still good!!!
