Taxims food never disappoints. Itâs fresh, full of flavor and served beautifully.
Very noisy. The rooftop was ok, but plastic was hanging everywhere; just not that attractive. Menu was interesting , but we didnât particularly enjoy the food. Server was good and helped me select a glass of wine , since all wines on the menu were greek and unfamiliar to me. However, I was told theyâd bring a birthday desert and that didnât happen.
Amazing food with an equally incredible rooftop terrace. We ordered the tzatziki, giant beans, wild mushroom flatbread, and the octopus to share. The octopus was especially delicious and had a great flavor and texture!
Went here with friends for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Literally everything on the menu was delicious....and, yes, we did order nearly everything! Not one thing we ordered was mediocre. You're definitely going to want to ask for help with the wines because it can be a little tricky to choose. The pork belly was amazing and the small plates are a great way to try lots of things and share is appetizers. My mouth is watering just thinking about that meal as I type this. If you're on the fence about Greek food, I can put your mind at ease by telling you it's my least favorite cuisine - and this place just knocked it out of the park! It's trendy while still pretty authentic and one of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant....it's an absolute must try!
We enjoyed our food at Taxim, itâs been a while since we visited. We happened to make reservations on a night of the wicker park fest, which we did not know about. When confirming the reservation, I would have appreciated a heads up or would have expressed preference for an indoor table. The terrace was obnoxiously loud due to the fest music and really undermined our experience - we were looking forward to a calm family dinner. The service was very good though and the quality of food did not suffer from an influx of diners which we appreciated.
Amazing! Canât wait to go back!
Great food with a neighborhood, family feel. Perfect place to share small plates while enjoying the Greek wine and cocktails. Rooftop during the summer is a must!
Great and friendly staff! Love coming here as lots of shareable food options and great wine list. Nice to go up on the rooftop
The food was very good and staff was friendly and accommodating. The space could use some updates, particularly the bathrooms and stairwell up to roof. The rooftop itself is cute but the plastic screens everywhere were an eyesore. Overall would recommend for casual and good Greek food spot.
They did not have a table available for us although I had a reservation ahead of time. They put together two small tables for us. Drinks came after we had finished appetizers. Did not check in on table after courses. They forced 22% tip on all reservations. There were only 3 of us. I usually tip 15-20% I thought that was a little aggressive considering it was a small party and the service was really poor.
