Our server Alex (only their a few weeks) and the bus-boy were terrific. So pleasant and not afraid to make jokes about how we weren't ready to give-up a scrap of food on our plates. This place has "personality" and someone really knows how to hire good staff. Every time I come here (3-4x's now) it's the same. Great service, food is fresh / well presented and always delicious. This is a terrific neighborhood gem.
Every time I visit Tavern on the Point, I try something different from the menu, and try a different cocktail. Each time, I find a new favorite. This is upscale dining at casual prices, there is truly not another restaurant like Tavern on the Point.
Food was exceptionally wonderful. Service ok, I believe they were busier then then had expected. Great place will definitely go there again, perhaps for dinner.
Amazing food! Way exceeded expectations. Atmosphere was fun. Stop in when you get a chance. We were driving through from Indianapolis and now I hate that I wonât be near there again.
Had a great evening listening to music on the rooftop! Chicken fried chicken was very tasty and the fish tacos were good but a bit over cooked. Service was terrific!!!! Wine and beer lists had nice selections and the wine pours were generous. Lots and f tvs in the bar. Really enjoyed the band, and the ambiance. We will definitely be back!
sat upstairs where the music was. perfect night. will return thanks for the evening TOTP!
Do not go there on a Saturday night to dine, unless you hate the people youâre with and donât want to talk to them. The live music was so loud we had to leave. Rushed through our meal to get out of there. Probably wonât go back. Not worth a second chance.
Love! Kasia helped me plan a party in the upstairs space. She was super helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. Day of the party we were well taken care of by her and the awesome bartenders. We were even able to come early to decorate! When we came back a week later for drinks, she recognized us which shows the dedication to the job and even in a busy setting, she was very attentive to all tables.
Excellent all the way around and definitely coming back! Thanks so much.
I had really high hopes for this restaurant after looking at the menu and pictures. However, the overall experience was not pleasant. I would have to unfortunately say at the price point and considering the food quality, this restaurant is NOT worth it.We had a large party for a birthday and having worked in the food industry in the past, I understand timing things can be difficult. However, what I saw was quite disastrous. To begin the appetizers were pretty okay. The hummus was a little hard, the calamari was a bit overcooked and chewy, but very well flavored, the elote was good but room temperature and the fries were adequate. As for the entrees, they were bad. The linguine carbonara was overall 2/5. the linguine itself was Al dente and the pancetta was tasty however the food came out room temperature and the sauce tasted exactly like a jar alfredo. I included steak with mine, it was overcooked, dry, room temperature and not seasoned. The chimichurri was appropriately flavored but also room temperature. The burgers across the table were also overcooked and room temperature. The Mayo that came out with the burgers had been expired for 10 months. With appetizers in the mid-teen dollar range and entrees between $20 and $50, I expected A LOT MORE.The service was adequate. When they were at the table they had a nice attitude and were kind, however as one member of my party said, they spent more time talking amongst themselves then waiting the table. We were regularly waiting 10 to 15 minutes to order new drinks. When ordering the drinks, especially beer, they kept getting mixed up.As an aside, they had a beer special, $3 domestic draft beers which is pretty solid. however, when I asked the bartender what was on the drink special she mentioned modelo, peroni, and Miller lite. I thought "well that's nice they added non domestic to the list" I ordered non domestic beers at the bar and was only charged $3 for each. When we were seated at the table, I reiterated that fact to a member of my party while our server was nearby and unfortunately wasn't corrected. 15 beers later for the table it cost us double the amount. That is an unfortunate incident to occur. I should have reiterated my question to the server at the time but assumed, erroneously, that everyone at the establishment was knowledgeable of their drink specials. One redeeming aspect is the ambiance. They have a nice rooftop patio. Hence the two stars.Maybe they can do better with smaller parties. But this experience is the worst I've had in a very long time.Overall, for the price point, sadly this restaurant is not worth it. We walked away spending nearly $600 for a disappointing dining experience. The situation reminds me of a Hell's kitchen episode where the judges dictate a price point for the dishes made. For the linguine carbonara, it would have been $0. I would much rather make my own roux and white sauce.Food 1/5Drinks 4/5Service 2/5Ambience 5/5Cost 1/5Specials-check and re-check
