Hostesses and later the managers were unaware of our anniversary requests and made no effort to alleviate the situation. Food average but our waitress Jacqueline was excellent! Not the place it used to be!

Stassey— surprised she still has a bartending license. According to her, after patrons remain in the establishment during the full term of her shift, they will be over served and kicked out blatantly because, guess what?, they are over served. According to Chicago PD, this is common for certain patrons. I have never felt such sadness for the food service industry. Bartenders know when and where. This elderly man, paid his tab and was kicked out. I’ve been here many times and I loved this place, today I feel so conflicted.Anyway, no one was willing to help and it truly broke my heart. No one helped him, instead I was called names, as if that was going to take the “over serving” away from this elderly man who was left at a lamp post hanging by a thread.
This place is pretty good. It was quite loud inside because it was a very busy part of the day, and there were lot of groups. Despite the fact that the restaurant was almost full, we got a table right away, which was surprising. We could even choose between dining area and lounge. Our waitress was nice, but not very attentive. Prior to coming to this place we visited another restaurant and the lady there was much friendlier. Food-wise this place is good. The octopus was better than in other restaurants we visited, wasn’t burned, but was spicy. We also shared a caprese and since we were going to share, they divided the dish into two plates, which was very considerate of them. Comparing with another restaurants in the area, this one is slightly worse in our opinion, but we still had a satisfactory experience.
The steaks were fantastic and cooked to perfection. Service was great and Jason was an attentive and friendly server.
Omggg went did we wait so long to try this spot... The atmosphere was great and food was amazing... It's a modern take on with an old school steak house feel...
Though the service was great, the food quality was nowhere near what had been in the past, when we pay a premium price for a meal we expect a premium meal, not this time
Food was great. Service was great! We stayed for brunch and dinner.
We always enjoy our visits to Tavern. Jason, our waiter, is an expert in his craft and the most welcoming professional we know.
