I’m from New Jersey and this spot definitely does a decent job of reproducing the type of bagel you’d get in NJ or NY. Was satisfied with the service and pricing compared to some other more commercial places. Only issue I had was one of the bagels I received seemed like it was not baked the morning I ordered it.
If somebody orders lox on a bagel that doesn’t mean lox spread, it’s completely different and I’m upsetEdit to this I’m sorry about being mean the bagel was good and ima keep coming back lol no shade to y’all
The minute I walked in I felt that the vibe was "off." The staff were moving very slow - reminiscent of the DMV in Zootopia. They put lots of cream cheese on the bagels, and the coffee was fine. But the bagels themselves had no flavor. And if you can't crank out the orders fast, with good energy, then it's not a New York style bagel shop.
Everytime we go here theres always omething. No REAL NY place would treat your costumer like this! Why can't you call insgead of cancelling orders?? Or, how about you write on the ordering page sold out/not give me the option to order?? Tried giving this place a chance multiple times. Seems like another fmily business that just gossips around instead of caring for the food you put out there. Skip it find another bagel joint
In short, great bagel shop. The bagels are fresh with a soft chew center. The outside is also chewy and not crispy, that was a let down. So far I have only been able to find one bagel shop that gets the outside crisp in Chicago. The ingredients taste great, fresh and the perfect amount in each bagel. The eggs are cooked properly and the options for how they cook them is all exclusive, great work on the options. The options of sandwich is fresh and not limited to ones you would find at any bagel shop. Only thing I would change is the turkey bacon, it needs to be more crisp. Having the bacon more crispy will create more texture within the sandwich. Right now everything is soft and the crispy bacon will add another level to the sandwich. Best way is to bake your turkey bacon on a raised rack so the fat can drip off. Then the final part the price. Perfect. Not overpriced. They have a rewards program that makes this place a I will return multiple times to during the week. Can’t wait to try the deli side during lunch.

This was my first time to Taste of New York bagel. I had a toasted whole wheat bagel with spicy Chipotle cream cheese. It wasn't the best bagel I've ever had but it was pretty good. The cream cheese was more tangy than spicy and didn't taste very smokey like Chipotle usually does but I liked it.
Bagels taste like you bought them at the store then left them in your freezer for 2 months. Eggs and turkey bacon taste microwaved. This whole thing was awful.
Very quick service. We tried the Brooklyn and rainbow bagel with plain cream cheese. Both were great! Everyone who worked there was helpful.
So freaking good and filling. Staff was friendly and helpful. Establishment was clean and spacious. Just a min walk from Wrigley Field.
