Mediocre tacos. Not a lot of flavor onions is overpowering. You can only get one sauce hot or mild per entree, as if there was a sauce shortage. Staff was nice but will not be back.
Ordered the fish tacos and tortilla chips at the Midway Airport food court. Service was S-L-O-W. One guy who hot his order announced that it was 30 minutes after he ordered in case anyone wanted to know. One woman who needed to get to her gate asked for a refund. There were several people working up front in a small space, and I wonder if they were actually in each other’s way. Also, there was no pass through window from the kitchen, so orders had to be walked through a door. When I got my order after 20 some odd minutes, I was shocked at how tiny the tacos were. The fish were fried well, crispy and not greasy but they were served in raw flour tortillas, not the crispy fried corn tortillas like in the picture over the counter. Also, the avocado crema was applied unevenly,. The tortilla chips were crispy but a little greasy. Got a decent amount, and the roasted tomato salsa had a nice smoky flavor but was otherwise a little plain and could have been amped up with salt, garlic and onions to make it more interesting.
The staff made the experience enjoyable. They have water on tap. Your choice of spring or sparkling water. It was a pleasure to them to use cloth napkins but they do have paper. I missed trying h the Fresca.
The tacos and nachos are good! Surprisingly even the rice and beans are good. There’s a lot of flavor and kick to the tacos, rice and beans, and the nachos. The nacho chips have a great crunch to them and don’t get soggy. The guac and cheese is good. The margarita is good too. I asked for a spicy seasoning on the rim. The decor and atmosphere is really a good vibe. It’s got a very earthy look to it. I am enjoying the music too. It’s a good spot for a quick bite and drink.
The egg, bacon, and cheese breakfast burrito was really good. However, it was the tiniest breakfast burrito for $14. They use large flour tortillas, but fill them up to 50% capacity - that's pretty unacceptable. Tallboy, please either get smaller tortillas and reduce your price, or fill the burritos to make them worth the money. Train your staff to make better quality burritos.
Love the al pastor tacos and the churros! Super conveniently located just a couple blocks off of Michigan Avenue, and right by my hotel.
Good combo deal 16$ for 3 tacos and chips&guac. Tacos are decent, options too, good seating inside and fast+good service. Keep on coming back every couple of weeks when in the neighborhood.
Server yelled out initials and couldn’t hear. Scolded me at pickup for not responding. Then screwed up my order. Wrong items. Tiny tacos. Was shocked at how small they were.
The food was badly prepared and the taste reflected it I ordered 2 fish tacos. One had fish that was edible and the other was rock hard. Then they refused to give a cup of water but offered that I but a water bottle.
Maaaannnnnnn quit playing with me.These tacos are no bueno. The tortillas are not fully cooked, the only flavor you get is salt, and the salsa isn't good. And they have the gall to price these tacos at $5 each.I'll say this. The staff is cool. No problems there. And their chips are actually really good if you like your chips kinda thick. The guac is a'ight.
