We were here a few tines when they first opened, and it was incredible. The quality of the food has steeply declined since then. The service is still fantastic and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, nothing that was served in our meals was even close to what we experienced previously. It's mediocre at best, which is deeply disappointing compared to how good it used to be.
Great vibe, wait staff were very kind, and the food was pretty good. Breakfast plates are average $10-$12. Used a local Local Flavor coupon. We ordered the veggie omelette with swiss cheese, hash browns, texas toast and a side of hollaindaise sauce and another od the same plate with french toast as well as the nutella and banana crepes. We were in and out pretty quick. Would like to try lunch and soup next time.
I was early, the only one in the place. I was seated and had coffee, water, and placed my order. Then, a family of 4 came in and we're given the same prompt and courteous attention. During what seemed like a long wait my coffee got refilled twice and i was told "it's coming " twice. Then a few minutes later what comes out? a big tray with the order for the family of 4. Mine should be right up i was told. A few minutes later it came, unfortunately the bacon that I ordered crisp was obviously not. She asked if everything was OK and I said no, does this bacon look crisp. She can fix that she said but I was so aggravated I wasn't even hungry any more, so I said no thanks and left. Either the waitress didn't give the order to the kitchen, or the kitchen set it aside to work on the big order. Unacceptable. If it was a busy time I could give more leeway, but it was so early and I was the only one in there to start with. Just unacceptable. Too bad, the food is probably good.
My husband and I went to Bacon and Jam just to find out they were closed. So we google breakfast spots near. We found this gem ?. This place was AMAZING!!! The food was Delicious and the service was Great!! They give you a lot of food my husband and I couldn't finish everything. The prices are good for the amount of you get. We will be back!!!!
Dear Sunrise Breakfast,Oh you, how you have captured my heart. I could go on and on... and on about how much I adore thee. From the wine, to the ambiance, to the music, to the wonderfully cute servers, to the catering partnership with Cheshire Cat, our wedding reception would not have been as amazing if it weren't for you.
Sunrise is becoming my new Chicago breakfast spot. The service is great and they are very accommodating. The portions are very good for the price. The service is usually quick as well. The staff is great with the kids and very patient with spills, extras and making sure we have what we need. I highly recommend.
They were being slammed when I visited, so the service was uneven to put it mildly as the wait staff seemed stretched, but we were thanked a few times for our patience and understanding. Service aside the food was delicious. The presentation was not the best (remembering the omelet) but it tasted suoerb; while the spinach eggs Benedict was astounding all around. I'm a big potato guy and their hash bowns were perfect with just the right amount of browning. I look forward to visiting again when back in town.
My wife and I went to sunrise restaurant for breakfast. We wanted to try a different restaurant. The food was good however the egg omelet portion was small. The waitress was by herself but did a job.
Superb presentation fresh! The French Toast was the highlight.
Didn't think much of it when we drove past, but decided to stop in and try anyway. The food and wait staff were amazing! We were in a hurry so we had to leave quickly. We didn't even have to tell our waitress because the food came out so fast. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
