Very cozy shop, less than a dozen tables for dine in. The menu is a QR code so the menu you see online is the same and up to date.Had the Hell Ramen: Level 3. Very spicy but not unmanageable if you are a fan of heat. The flavor was amazing! It has a sweet undertone and the broth will have you drinking from the bowl like a mugGyoza was great, highly recommended as well. Really I doubt you could go wrong with anything... But I'll work through everything on the menu just in case
First time at this Strings Ramen Shop location. We came right after the Cubs home opener and I guess we beat the rush because we were able to sit anywhere. Pictured and ordered here is the Tonkotsu Premium. (Video also taken - check out on my Google Profile Photos or this spot's Google Page Photos). Should have ordered additional Hell Sauce; 1oz is not enough. Broth is a bit oily but the entire bowl was flavorful. Noodles are reminiscent of Oiistar's (or vice versa!). Shop became busy within the hour we were there for both dine-in and take-out/delivery. I would say Strings Ramen Shop is one of my Top 5 favorite Ramen in the Chicagoland area.
Great little spot for ramen and is BYOB which is really nice. I usually get take out since the place only has 6 or so tables and usually fills up. The service is super fast and we have never had a bad experience. Can't go wrong with some ramen on a cold and rainy day, if you have a bigger group of 5+ it would be hard to sit together but groups of 2 are fine for dine in.Food: 4/5Service: 5/5BYOB: NiceeeeSpeed: 5/5
My first time there, it was packed, but we were able to get seated quickly and the food was brought to us in a timely manner. Even faster than we had expected. Service was great, friendly and prompt.
Food quality has gone down. Used to love this place. Ordered tonkosu ramen to go and it is too salty than usual. Only half half egg, one piece of pork belly. Maybe will have better quality when you dine in store.
Perfect place for a cold night in Chicago!Good Ramen options to choose from. I also tried their Sui Gyoza but unfortunately they only had vegetable option available.I tried the traditional Tonkotsu Ramen it was it delicious. The place was full and the service of quick.
On a cold & rainy day, Strings Ramen hit the spot! It is conveniently located off of Belmont's Red Line, and the ramen is delicious. I was most impressed with the flsvorsble broth! I would absolutely recommend checking it out. Pro Tip: It is a small restaurant so during busy hours be prepared to have to wait a bit for a table. That said, the food comes out quick once you are seated and order!
Visited this location 10+ times. Quality ramen, attentive wait staff, and a consistent quality over the years. Highly recommend.
We haven’t had food this good in a while! It was so flavorful, so delicious! I would definitely recommend the Maze Soba Kuro Buta (Berkshire Pork) and the gyoza.
Fast, great service. And was delicious!
