Great flavor and fresh vegetables; fast and friendly service. The vegetable tonkotsu was great!

Thank you so much for the wonderful and courteous welcome we received. Even though kitchen was almost closed we were gently reminded and still advised on the menu which helped make our choices ones we could enjoy!! The cheesy ramen is amazing.! Add seafood for a kick

They did something different and I’m here for it. I always order the Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth used to be so salty. Now it is less salty and has a more creamy umami flavor. I like that. Usually the Pork Belly doesn’t have any fat, that I thought they gave me the Loin. But the pork belly I received today has a perfect balance of meat and fat. (Fat is Flavor). I don’t know what they did, but it’s so much better now. Hopefully they stick to this recipe. I will update if anything changes.

The service from our waiter Darren was great. When he heard that I wasn't thrilled with the flavor of my ramen dish he had the chef come out, who offered to make me another dish. I declined the offer. I haven't had ramen much so I don't think there was anything wrong with the food. The other people in my group were quite satisfied. I would recommend that you try this place. No nut products are used here but make sure if you have allergies. They are PEV friendly.

I had the Yakisoba Spicy crab which was really good but the portion size left me wanting more despite being $20 for ramen. The starter/ appetizer soup tasted strange... Fyi they have the Hell Ramen challenge, must be 18 to enter.

Good ramen, poor service. Waited 10 min to be seated, the two waitresses seemed to be talking to each other for an extended period of time and neglecting the customers in general. Once seated, I ordered quickly since I had been staring at the many for 10 minutes while I waited. Food came quickly and was hot and tasty, tonkotsu ramen very good. The wood ear salad also tasty but the waitress neglected to advise that it came with jalapeños. The Japanese pickles were good but also not cold. I’d definitely visit again but get takeout instead

The soup was nice and moderately salty. The soy sauce ramen would be even better with the addition of bonito or dried bonito “niboshi” broth. Soy sauce would be better with a sweeter Japanese soy sauce.Miso is even better with the addition of chicken or pork bone broth.I think pork bone broth is not enough for pork bone ramen. Chicken bone broth could be added. Then it would be suitable for Japanese, but too thick for Americans. I am torn.

There is a really great selection. Good proportions. Amazing flavors.

Great place, really good food, first time having Ramen and it was great. The waiter helps us with our selection. Would definitely go back

Strings Ramen is really good! My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon on a whim after wanting ramen for weeks. The Hyde Park location is not too far so we opted for the adventure. *All of the Covid rules were followed and we sat at the “bar”. All of the guests were spaced out very well and dining was comfortable.*Of course you couldn’t deny an appetizer so we went with the Chicken Kara-age and Siu gyoza. Both were very flavorful and delish. I tried a Japanese soda on the side and it was okay. The ramen though?! We both loved! Being a spice lover I had to go with the Hell Ramen. It was spicy but not unbearable. The flavors of pork and clam was everything and then topped with pork skins?! 5/5 for sure. We can’t wait to go back!
