Just know it's not your normal Starbucks! The pastries and drinks here are amazing and fresh for sure!

When your non-stop flight gets in around 9AM long before your hotel room is ready to be checked in, you stop here and enjoy coffee and snacks! At the time of this post, this is the world's largest Starbucks. There are 4 floors and SO many menu options. It was a nice welcome to Chicago.

Tis was a delightful & informative tour. Our tour guide Alexis, was so informative cheerful as she led my friend, Charlotte, & I through the different levels. She deserves a raise! The building itself was warm & ecletic, and Alexis showed us different aspects that we probably would have missed or not known the importance of. Aside from my faux pais with the scheduling, I would recommend this tour for any person that likes history, coffee, and the different nuances of coffee making from around the world.

My daughter and I are big fans of Starbucks (I grew up in Seattle, drinking the brew before it became an international thing). Visiting the roastery is an absolute MUST for fans! There is a short wait to enter the building - for crowd control and to avoid ridiculous lines once you’re in. Once through the doors four floors of heaven await. Watch (and smell) the roasting of beans on floor 1, where there is also a gift shop and counter to order fresh brews and decadent sandwiches and pastries. Meander upstairs for more, including the opportunity to watch your coffee being brewed via a siphon method that is beyond cool. You can sit at a counter or in one of many seating areas and watch the world go by. Classes are offered, too, but you’ll need to reserve in advance for those. The third floor offers pizza and coffee cocktails - just watching them being made was fun. On nice days the rooftop is open! Once fueled you’re ready to hit the shops. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great experience at the Roastery. It was very simple to schedule our reservation in advance. We were staying nearby and planned to have a couple drinks before heading to dinner. We could’ve spent a while here though, we really enjoying talking with the bartenders about the coffee and tea cocktails. We ordered a couple of flights - the espresso martinis were perfect and I would recommend any of the tea based drinks. Everything was very high quality and a great start to our evening. The ambiance was great - not too crowded (having reserved seats at the bar helped) but still a lot of energy in the building. I’ve recommended it to a few friends that also had great experiences. Hoping to be back very soon!

Every aspect of the Reserve Roastery was amazing. There’s so much to do that I had to make two trips to get the full experience. The first visit I made was in the morning right as the opened. I was greeted at the door and provided a map of the Roastery. After touring each floor I had breakfast and was not disappointed with the quality of the food ( I got the avocado toast with Salmon). On the second visit I came back in the evening and had to wait in line to get in. The line was long and wrapped around the side of the building but it was not more than a 10 minute wait. For this visit I tried the cocktail bar with some friends. The drinks were super creative and all tasted amazing. But they were definitely expensive so be prepared for that if you plan to make a stop at the bar. Each floor had a relatively long line for each of the different types of bars but, I was happily surprised with how quickly and efficiently the employees worked to get everyone through. This is a large location with five levels. Each level has fun and different things going on. The first floor is where a lot of merchandise is sold. There is also a beverage and breakfast bar. The second floor is an Italian bakery with a mix of breakfast food, sandwiches and desserts. The third floor is an experimental coffee bar with unique drinks not available at other locations. The forth floor is a cocktail bar with fun coffee themed and inspired cocktails. The fifth floor is a roof top terrace over looking The Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue). Floors 2 through 4 have plenty of seating near large windows allowing you to look out into Chicago. The fifth floor has seating as well however, the rooftop terrace is a small space and therefore it may be hard to find seating. With five levels of fun and something different for everyone the Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a must try experience. There are drinks, alcoholic beverages, food and plenty of seating which makes this a great place for almost any occasion.

Found this by accident and glad I went in. I'm generally not a fan of Starbucks coffee (nothing personal, just not my favor) but this place won me over. They roast everything on site and its one part coffee, one part education, and 2 parts wow. Even if you don't spend a penny in the place it's worth the trip--and yes, I bought a cup of coffee.

It was the first time visiting for me. The location offered the comfort of a Starbucks with the curiosity of a museum. There are four floors that offer various goods for one to enjoy. The staff was fabulous and added to the great experience. There was so many different coffee options that even the most prestigious coffee connoisseur would be delighted. I would make sure to grab the coffee flight from the third floor as it seemed the most popular among customers. Only problem I had was that finding seating was difficult. I would visit again!

Worth the wait (5 min. In the early morning) for a memorable Starbucks experience. Staff members were incredibly polite and nice. A very nice staff member on her break gave me the recommendation to take the stairs to the roof top to enjoy my purchased beverage and pastry on there - as the elevator to the roof top would not be open until later in the afternoon. In addition to this much appreciated recommendation, as I was buying food and drink, a nice guest gave me the recommendation to get the Starbucks Reserve 'Bianco' which I would certainly recommend now. This is a great experience and I would even prefer this location over the one in Seattle - as it spans across 5 floors and I will certainly consider a tour the next time that I return.

This was such an awesome place for a friend and I, who are hardcore coffee lovers to visit ! I was expecting it just to be a Starbucks café that just shows you the process of making the coffee with the beans and everything. But I was blown away when they not only have the process of making the coffee, but the menu selection was different ! From coffee and pastries to pizza and sandwiches and dessert and even cocktails ! MUST MUST VISIT ! Though I would suggest getting there early if you want to avoid any kind of line. I SUGGEST GETTING THE HAZELNUT BIANCO LATTE !!!
