This is a combination of two restaurants - Chongqing chicken pot and Spicy Grandma. You can either order chicken/ribs/beef brisket hot pot which is like a stew or skewers. The dine-in service is good but really slow as they do most of their business with delivery.Skewers can be boiled (you pick the skewers yourself) or deep-fried (in their kitchen). It's very tasty and fairly priced.Chicken hot pot is a little greasy but tasty too. I think the veggies add-on is a little expensive given the portion.

As a Szechuanese who was born and raised in Szechuan, I would say this is by far the best skewer type of hotpot “chuan chuan/串串” in Chicago area. Although the service wasn’t the best, mainly because they were short-staffed, but the taste won.I read some negative reviews about the way they count the sticks for the price, that’s the most traditional way in Szechuan when you eat skewer hotpot, instead of asking for the bill, you actually ask the servant to count the sticks!

Food taste extremely good, real Sichuan spice! The services need some improvement, the waiter yelling to someone right in front of me while trying to get my check ready.

Love this place

This was an interesting experience to say the least. It was very authentic, and there were some very tasty moments, but there were some things holding back the rating. The food was good quality and the medium spicy oil was absolutely phenomenal, but very spicy. The atmosphere was cool.On the negative side, the service was underwhelming. Stand up and serve yourself, styrofoam cups, and the table wasn't totally clean. But I will say, we always had water when we needed it, so it's not like service was non-existent. My least favorite aspect was the pricing. It was a headache to keep track of, and it felt like some things were weirdly priced. But, it wasn't necessarily expensive, just tough to track your spending.Overall, I'd go back here. But not if I was necessarily trying to impress. Also, I would love to dip a burrito in the hot pot. Just saying.

Disappointed experience. Its hot pot nickel and dime on sticks. Barely any meat on it and barely any tastes. To further add insults, they give you plastic utensils, cups and plates. A sitting down restaurant that doesn't want to do dishes, Lame.

GREAT FOOD! This place is great. It’s like a cross between fondue and Korean barbecue I guess. Honestly, I have no idea what I was eating but it tasted delicious and I would recommend this restaurant if you’re in town. Also, there’s a great little ice cream shop across the street that you should check out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Was good. Expected a little better.
