It was the first time eating here last week. I have to say it was the best meal I have ever had! I had the Daddy-O and I have never had smoked brisket before (I know !) it was to die for so much flavor and it actually melted in my mouth. My daughter had the wrightwood salad and said it was amazing. Coleslaw and Mac and cheese were also fabulous. Evelyn was our server and she was the bomb and worked the entire restaurant like a boss. Very attentive and always making sure everything was good for us. I actually went to the back and saw a woman in the kitchen area and even complimented how much we just loved our food. We don’t go down to this area very often but when we do I will make sure to go back!
I have frequented this place many times but finally wanted to leave a review. Best burnt ends in all the city and the half order of nachos is a perfect snack with a cold pour!! Gona keep on coming in until they stop serving burnt ends!
As good as you expect and more. The food was the main event, smoked meats and delicious appetizers. The sides were generous and very tasty. The bar selection is also on point with a solid beer and cocktail list and the whiskey offerings were very good. Live music on the weekends and unexpected but welcome. Can't wait to attend.
Live music was awesome. Ribs were excellent, service was on point. Just a really good experience with solid food. Highly recommend!
Baby back ribs were outstanding, delightful that you could have as much sauce as you want with four different varieties. Also the hush puppies with pimento cheese inside were a fabulous treat. Of the sides, sweet potato fries and the baked beans and the Mac plus cheese were outstanding. Service was good and fast. Also, a nice neighborhood environment, lots of people walking by including families.
Excellent BBQ! One of the few top notch in Chicagoland. We got brisket, burnt ends and baby back ribs all of which were amazing. They bring 4 types of BBQ sauce to the table and it's impossible to choose so we used them all. All the sides are good too so you really can't go wrong here. Saturday night had live music too, blues to bring it all together for a great experience.
Like I said, get the big city eats off the menu. My wife and son and I ordered it. It’s like family style. $59, we got slab of ribs, 1/2 chicken, 2 cups of beef brisket, 2 slices of bread, regular and sweet potato fries. You have choices, these were ours. It was good and we had enough leftover for another meal for all of us. The only thing we didn’t like were the sweet potato fries, we’ve had better. Next time in Chicago we’ll get this again, maybe we’ll tweak the sides.
Ordered a half rack of baby-back ribs and sides of Mac n cheese and fries for my brother after work through Doordash. It was a gift for my brother since I rarely get to see him. I was a little worried about how they would arrive using carryout. However, they arrived perfect. Everything was packaged separately, which is fantastic. It was also wrapped great. He rates his food very hard, and said it was “unreal.” Which is a huge accomplishment as he is hard to please, lol. He said he will definitely have to try again. Thank you, Smoke Daddy!!
Was excited when I saw the ratings but I’m Very very disappointed with the service I received. My order was filled incorrectly. I had Missing items. check your order before you leave restaurant. Positions size of chicken and brisket was very small in a small container. Definitely not worth the money. First time at this restaurant and definitely will be my the last.
Great food bbq style, extremely fast and great service, live music was a very nice touch, “The Masters Collection “ Reasonable prices Great drinks I will return
