Love Rockwell's, my favorite place to go around Lincoln Square! Great drinks, food, and atmosphere!
Food is good, burgers especially. Staff is nice. Atmosphere is a nice neighborhood bar as advertised, warm and friendly.
We have been coming here for over a decade and it is one of our favorite places in the city. And the only place that I have found that uses REAL cheese for their cheese fries. I would come here just for that but luckily the rest of the food is awesome too.
We live within one block of this place and I have been always supporting our neighborhood restaurants but I m afraid that we won't be coming back after tonight.Before we started ordering, there was a BIG FAT RAT feasting at the patio area. Floor was pretty dirty, table seems really gross and greasy.We ordered some burgers and beer and a kid meal. The server told us the kids meal is $7.5 then asked us to choose American cheese or cheddar and explained it comes with fries/fruit/salad. However when we got our bill, they added 1 dollar for cheese and 1 for fruit????!! It's so unprofessional of them to up charge without notifying the customer.We ended up paying $60 for a ok meal for a couple and 2 years old for an unsatisfying meal while watching a RAT.We would love to support local restaurant but if they cannot even keep it clean and sneakily charging customers, we just won't be back.
I have dined here twice so far. The fries are awesome. Whoever the cook is during the day, he or she does not put enough sauce on the sandwhiches. I had the chicken sandwhich and it barely had any spicy mustard. The sandwhich was so dry it was like putting a towel in your mouth. During my second visit, I had the BLT sandwhich. Again BLT but very little mayo. Think being thirtsy in the desert and getting a single drop of water in a glass. That is how dry this sandwhich was. Not sure I will go back. The brownie dessert with ice cream was very good. So three good things about this place: plenty of seating, the fries, and brownie dessert. It was not too expensive either. But what makes Rockwell's better than Potbelly's? Nothing. And I think the guy who was there during my first visit looked me up on Scruff, which was cringey.
Went for an event. The staff was super friendly. Food was tasty. Good beer selection.
Service was great. Food was good as well, particularly the Mac and cheese and the tortilla soup.
Good food, good drinks. Timmy always greets us personally, and remembers what our favorite drinks are. A great place to go!
Both hamburger and the tilapia sandwich were super! Charming neighborhood atmosphere
We tried a variety of menu items from burgers to Ruebens to BLT’s to fish tacos. Everything was excellent!! This is my go-to restaurant when I’m in the area! Try it - eat in or carry out: it’s all delicious!
