Friendly place, was in town on business and made it my local for a few nights. Food was good, had a burger and they were excellent both nights. Great choice of beer, loads of screens, and busy vibe.

They have the best hamburgers in town and the beer was excellent. Great location in city and the staff was very courteous. We liked it there so much, we ate there twice in 3 days.

When we walked in for dinner, I was told the wait would be long; though many tables were wide open! I asked if we could sit in the bar to which the hostess replied, "it is packed". Walking into the bar, I wondered if she was referring to the bar next door as their bar could not have had 25-30% capacity. Long story short, they were simply overwhelmed with business and the staff was minimal at best. The bar tender served us and we helped by washing down our table in lieu of whining about it. She was grateful! Food was hot, though the menu seems to be much smaller now. Not the restaurant I once remember, but its doable.

Good pub food and a nice craft beer selection right downtown. Not gourmet, but a great place for a budget-conscious meal. Portions are large!

I am in Chicago starting a medical residency and staying in a hotel on the Magnificent Mile. The Toronto Raptors were in the playoffs and I wanted a bite to eat and watch the game. The Bellmen at the hotel recommended Rock Bottom, a short walk from my hotel. It was great. I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. I had a good view of the TV screen and my server, Javon, was quick and attentive. I ordered a dark, crisp Irish style stout and it was delicious. And I ordered the Keg Burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Juicy, tasty, cooked to perfection, it was truly memorable. I liked this place a lot. Not a fan of dining alone but this place was a real gem.

TL;DR: good beer and good food. will definitely repeat ***Ambiance*** A clean but well-used restaurant. Has a welcoming and laid-back feeling. I place where you would like to go with your buddies after work and have multiple rounds of drinks. They have a lot of sitting area. Both sides on the ground floor and there is space upstairs as well. ***Staff*** Both the check-in staff and the server were courteous, super nice, and very friendly. Made us feel welcome to their establishment. We had a reservation but some members of our party were running late. The check-in staff happily accommodated our request to delay seating. The sever were attentive and checked with us multiple times during the entire meal if we needed anything. Also, the server was right on-point to refresh our drinks at the right time. ***Drinks*** This is the place to be if you want to have drinks. Don't go to some high-brow so-called pub with 2 million likes and a total of five drinks on their menu. They have a wide selection of beer on-tap and mixed-drinks. And in case you missed it in their name, its a Brewery. We ordered a mix of in-house beers, mainly IPA. I also tried the mezcal mule, which was very good. ***Food*** They serve typical bar food done well. Don't expect to be blown away by their culinary creativity. But you will leave happy, satisfied, and maybe a little tipsy. All the food for our party came out as expected. No complaints. We started with chips and guac which was a standard fare. The guac was out of a box. I would have gone for the fresh-made version if that option was available on the menu [it wasn't]. I got fish and chips and it was very good. Came out hot, fresh, and crunchy. They serve it with a spicy Chipotle mayo which was delicious. We ended up asking our server to get more of that mayo. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and i would repeat going there multiple time. Good service, good drinks, good food, and excellent time.

For Chicago, prices are relatively reasonable. The ribeye was $31. I subbed garlicky mashed potatoes for the fries. They have Mac n cheese but it was a little dry and not too cheesy. If you like creamy cheesy Mac n cheese you might want to skip theirs. Food was very good otherwise. Order your steak slightly less done than you normally do because they did overcook them slightly. Still really tasty though. This place is literally up the steps from the red line train. Reservations can be made but we got in without one in about 20 minutes around 7:30 p.m. I would definitely visit this place again.

This bar is my personal Cheers. I appreciate every single one of the amazing bar tenders who make sure that every single patron has an amazing and memorable experience each and every time they set foot in Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. Dustin Lancaster is wonderful at what he does, and his love for wine and people absolutely shines through. Thanks for making my evenings at Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery so special.

Great experience we had six people and our waiter didn’t write one thing down and was spot on. Thanks Zachary for a great time!

Bartender was amazing in a chaotic busy atmosphere. Excellent beers!
