Excellent homemade tamales and pupusas! So tasty, very filling and a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the kitchen was very hardworking. Go early, because they sometimes run out of tamales. It’s a small place that does mostly carry-out business.Try the pupusas revueltas, so good. Tamales have flavorful meat & sauce, not salty at all. To the ignorant person claiming to find hair in a tamale, that’s cornsilk in your photo (now deleted). Many BS reviews on here for some reason.

Their tamales are delicious!!! However I wish their tamales were a tad bit more spicy. But over all still very delicious.
Hands down best tamales in Chicago. We've been getting them once a week for months. I look forward to tamale day. Chicken with Verde salsa is delicious.

Very straight forward menu with few items, so each food item is dialed in when it is prepared. I placed a phone order for about 12 tamales and it was ready by the time I arrived to pick up. Each tamale was still hot and delicious when I returned and distributed tamales among co-workers. At the moment there is no dine-in seating, although that isn't a bad thing considering COVID numbers in Chicago, and the space would not adequately accommodate many tables. 10/10 would recommend
