The burger was GREAT. I got a the double cheese.The shrimp was bad. I went with someone who had been there before and he was raving about the shrimp. We order and it was different bre as ding, smaller shrimp, didn't taste fresh.
High quality hotdog, cheap, and quick! It was so good I went back and got a second one. One caveat is cash only.
I used to frequent the Ashland location and at the time didn’t eat meat but was obsessed with the cheese fries. Today I tried to the red hot ranch burger for the first time (now obviously a meat eater) and can confidently say this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Thin, crispy, saucy, soft bun, affordable, filling but not filling in the way where I want to topple over now. All around great place and will always be a favorite of mine.
First time here today and had their Double Cheeseburger and Fries Combo. It was excellent to say the least and I highly recommend it. My only criticism is that the place is too small and doesn’t have any chairs or tables! ?♂️ Plus, it’s real affordable, like 10 bucks for everything! For their quality, they can be charging more! I’ll be back!
Sorry folks but I don’t get it. I saw the reviews on Check Please that had very good reviews. I decided to try the Hot Dog Ranch on Ashland about a month ago and thought the double cheeseburgers were just ok. I said to myself try the Hot Dog Ranch on Armitage to see if there is a difference with their double cheeseburgers.Sad to say I wasn’t impressed again. I saw no difference from Ashland to the Armitage location. I don’t know what the fascination is with their cheeseburgers. I would go back again but I’d try something new. The staff is friendly and helpful and you’ll get your order lickety-split. The fries are fresh and crispy, they're really good and you get plenty of them, you're hard pressed to finish them.
You can stack up all your high-end places like Au Cheval and Kuma etc. and I still think that Red Hot Ranch will beat them. Delicious.

i legitimately believe these are the best smashburgers in chicago. also my cat is a picky eater and normally hates human food but he stole a fry and ate it.so both me and my cat highly approve of the food.
I was going to a concert and knew I would be hungry afterwards. I saw this little spot on Google maps and decided to check them out after the show. I got the RHR double cheeseburger with fries to go. It was really good, they have fresh cut fries which is always a plus for me. The double cheeseburger was messy in the best way possible and all of its components work together. If you're in the Logan Square area check them out ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow. First time here. It's pretty simple. You must go here! Only accepts cash! You just order the double-cheeseburger with everything extra pickle. Great smash burgers with nice browning. Great fries included. Great price. I will be back. Just unsure if I'll ever try anything else besides the burgers.
