First visited this location when they had reopened and I remember it was good when we had tried it. Today was our first time back and lackluster to say the least. Food was mediocre and the service was incredibly slow. We were there 90 minutes for a party for 8. Took forever to get a drink and to get our food and the restaurant didnt seem very busy. When the meals did arrive only half of our meals came out first and food got cold as we waited for the rest of our party's meal.
Very good food. The Staff is very friendly. Our server was new but he did a great job. Even the bus staff was on top of everything. The only thing that I didn't care for was karaoke started about 20 minutes before we left and it was way too loud.
Great family spot. The food is an American / Mexican fusion that works very well. You have to try the poblano soup, yum! Everything we had was fantastic. Enjoy your visit.
It was karaoke night which is a fun thing to do. However, the karaoke was sooo loud we could barely hear each other speak and I couldn't really hear the waitress. We came an hour before the kitchen closed, so we ordered quickly, the waitress was busy with other tables so we waited at time for the check and for asking. The interior of the restaurant was nice and appeared clean.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday. Tbh, it was the day after his birthday and I casually mentioned it in conversation with our lovely waitress Ximena. I did not expect her and the entire staff to go above and beyond and set up a birthday celebration surprise! They came out with a complimentary cheese cake, sparkler candle, and sang a joyful happy birthday song.Our food was absolutely amazing! Every bite “taste like heaven” as my daughter described it. I think my family and I have officially found our favorite restaurant. They had something in the menu for everyone’s liking. Will definitely be returning.Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Amazing!!!Food was delicious, presentation was Excellent. Our waiter Alexis was on point. This place has to be one one of the best places around the Midway Airport area. We will return. Thank you.
My Wife And I had our first experience at Red Barrel Restaurant and let me just say that it was WONDERFUL!!! The food was great!! Our waitress, Ximena, was FANTASTIC!!! Please... check this establishment out.
Go for the ambiance! It will transport you to a well appointed cabin and provide you with a relaxing environment. .We come here for cold beer, burgers and now brunch. Our server Ximena, was very attentive and graciously professional. We were very satisfied with the food and the service. Prices are very reasonable. Friday Karaoke is also fun!
Delicious rosemary fries. House burger is really good. Nice restaurant, friendly staff. My husband and I went there on our first date in 1976 and loving going back. Asset to the neighborhood!
Our favorite Sunday brunch place! Very clean, food is amazing! The staff is welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond. Highly recommended! 5+ stars!
