I’ve been a long time Ramen Takeya customer (well over 7 years) and it has never been less than perfect. I wish I could give 6 stars! The Miso Bold & Spicy is my go-to and has the perfect blend of spicy and creamy broth, melt-in-your-mouth noodles, silky tamago egg, and balanced toppings. I’d eat this every day if I could! Also recommend the Brussels sprouts and basically everything else on the menu - can’t go wrong!!!

If your vegan and looking for a delicious bowl of ramen this is the stop. I ate almost every vegan dish available and i was amazed at how good they all were! Not to mention the drinks which were delicious (try the manhattan). The bartender Scott as well as the other servers were all extraordinarily helpful and easy to talk to. Not from chicago but ill take the three hour trip just to eat here again.

The best ramen I've ever had. In particular, the pork belly is something really special here. Combined with a cozy atmosphere and a nice bar, this is a spot not to be missed.

Super cool spot - great ramen and apps, no reservations tho, but def worth it

This used to be my personal spot when I lived in west loop. Very cozy and great food.

I really enjoyed this spot. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of the wait. Highly recommend. I had the Miso bold and spicy ramen with Brussel sprouts on the side and my friend had the Chicken paitan with a Green geisha drink

Stopped by one of my favorite ramen restaurants in Chicago - Ramen Takeya. The spicy chicken paitan ramen had a good kick, melt in the mouth charred char siew, crunchy bamboo shoots and slurpworthy ramen. Pity their fryer was busted today, and I wasn’t able to get their karaage. Next time!

Not the best I’ve had. Would rather go to a no frills place where you wait 45 min (yes waited 45 minutes… for a take out order) and are rewarded with something worth it. This wasn’t that.

Very average ramen. Only 2 different items ordered and chicken was already confused with pork.

The hype for this place is too much.. I guess 5 years ago when I tried it first time it was worth it.. but not anymore..We got the staple starters Chicken Karaage and Crispy Takoyaki chicken plus Osaka Shiro and Misso bold and spicy ramen..Chicken Karaage was not even crispy and color does not look appealing. The Takoyaki well it was decent with the souce but I had better ones. Ramen was great though the broth was very rich ..Overall.. good experience but not worth the hype.
