Not the most authentic ramen or Japanese restaurant. Many good fusion options to choose from. But a great vibe inside. Perfect for drinking and hanging out with friends or on a date

Came in for lunch and was absolutely blown away by the quality. Not a super huge fan of Sake but their selection provides enough variety to pick and play with options. The spicy kimchi ramen wasn't too spicy, just enough if you like a mild kick and the condiments on the table let you adjust the spice to your liking. Chicken Shio broth was almost sweet but in the best way, they definitely take care in making their bases. Recommend if you're in Chicago!

Actually surprised to find all the positive high marks on reviews here. We dined for lunch due to the positive reviews and were sorely disappointed. We tried the tonkatsu ramen and all we tasted was salt. The broth lacked the full umami flavor one expects out of ramen. Noodles were cooked to our request and liking and pork was cooked well too. The egg was lackluster - only half, not seasoned, and someone had really failed at peeling mine. Service was good too, staff friendly. Just wish the broth had been better!

This ramen spot just hits the spot for me! It was perfect for the cold weather when I went. The flavor of the soup were incredible. They had lots of choices in their menu. The bao buns were prepared perfectly. Soft pillowy bun, with crispy pork belly inside. I am definitely coming back when I visit Chicago again!

Great place for lunch!! Randomly came here Monday for lunch and luckily there were high top tables available. Food and service was awesome. They offer a lunch special for $15.95–served with your choice of main dish (3 ramen choices) and one rice plate with small salad-san & marinated cucumbers—such a great deal! The Tonkotsu Ramen was a bit bland so I added sesame chili (extra $1) which made it more flavored—the chasu pork was reasonable size and I also got it with added corn (extra $1)! Also tried the Kimchi & Fried Chicken Ramen—it was delicious, quite unique and well flavored. The Hot Classic Sake (kirinzan) was okay, not sure if it was worth $23 though.

The place is typically crowded for lunch time due to the location downtown; ramen is good although not excellent. Other dishes are regular Asian American fusion oriented. Staff is helpful and friendly as it should. The "soundtrack" is strangely (although welcome) hip hop instead of the regular "oriental music" to create the ambiance. Price is according to the location.

The place has a good ambiance and decent seats for customers on weekdays. The kimchi fried chicken ramen is delicious. The servers are kind and always there to tell you more about the dishes. Definitely worth visiting.

I had the lunch set which is definitely a good deal. It’s a good portion of noodle soup, side dish and a salad. The taste of the Ramen soup was okay, but it missed the refined taste that I like in Japan. The “background” music is rather bass heavy and it eventually started to irritate me. But I guess it’s all about taste. No Apple Pay or wireless payment excepted.

We were visiting Chicago and my boyfriend came across Ramen-San completely by accident. Since we both LOVE ramen we decided to give it a try. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and a rice plate of the karaage chicken and for dessert we ordered the hot donuts. Everything was delicious. The place was great, the atmosphere was great, and our server was amazing! If we visit Chicago again, we will be going back for sure!

The ambiance was 10/10Table host was 10/10Waiter was 9/10Food was 8/10I got the sumo ramen, and I think they should just keep the traditional ramen egg instead of using a "crushed egg". The flavor of the broth was good, but the noodles was just ok. Our waiter kept leaning on our table, which I get he might be just friendly, but I personally did not feel super comfortable
