Definitely a must try in Ravenswood. Bagel is chewier than normal bagels and there’s definitely a sour dough flavor. Would recommend getting there earlier than later as inventory runs out!
I ordered the hipster bagel sammie which consisted of veggie cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, and avocado..I had it on the Asiago bagel. It was out of this world! The flavors went so well together and the sandwich was packed with veggies.I’m not sure why there are reviews saying that the bagels are small or they don’t have an appropriate amount of veggies/meat on them, i chalk this up to overconsumption and waste culture. Also, if you don’t pick up an order and demand to have it replaced for free the next day, you’re entitled and have no idea what it’s like to work in service or run a small business. This isn’t a Starbucks or Dunkin’ that serves frozen premade goods and is a multi million dollar company, be kind and support small business. It was more than enough food for the price! Delicious and fresh! My partner and I will definitely return very soon :)
delicious cold brew! bagels are perfectly perfect. their lox and chive shear and their tuna salad are *chef’s kiss* + their service is great and speedy and everyone is very kind and happy ?
I am confused by the $22 (after tip) sandwich, the Keister. I ordered it “hot” not cold when asked. It came with a Hot sticker on it after a wait. Yet it’s room temperature, with a couple whisps of raw onions, a spec of cold cheese, and a tiny dollop of mustard. Dry sliced pastrami rounds or out to make the whole thing parched and bland. No sides. Unfortunately this isn’t a repeat lunch given all the other options nearby.
Absurdly expensive for what you are getting. A lox bagel and small coffee is $17 before tip. You want the standard fixings like tomato, capers, and onion? That will be an additional $.50 extra EACH. Thanks for my single slice of tomato and 8 capers. That dollar was really worth it. I was hoping the salmon and bagel would save it but it was a standard taste and a cold bagel. I don’t know how this place will sustain itself next to a college and surrounded by cheaper and delicious breakfast alternatives.
Tried a sour dough bagel with schmear. It was great! The bread was soft and the chive cream cheese was good. Not the best chive cream cheese I've had but definitely not bad.Only down side is I like my bagels toasted and I'm not sure if its an option or if it came lightly toasted but I just toasted it a bit at home and voila! A great bagel.Photo: Yes I took a bite. I couldn't wait.
Very good. Toasty outside, chewy inside. I just had the onion w/plain. Sourdough was a nice touch. (Hopefully the indoor opens soon).
Ever since this place opened I have been back at least once a week. Their bagels and sourdough boules are super delicious, up there with the best breads I've had at other bakeries like Hewn and La Boulangerie. Everything I've tried there has been a banger, highly recommended!
really stoked to have this place around the corner from me. the bagels have a great sourdough flavor and chewy inside, crunchy skin - almost perfect consistency. Next weekend I’ll definitely buy a half dozen to keep in my freezer for lunches. The cream cheese is good. cool flavor options. they really load it on there and I have to scrape some off because it’s too much for me, but I suppose that’s better than the opposite. Also tried the brownie today - SOO GOOD! fudgy, dense, and great chocolate not too sweet, but not too dark flavor.
Bagels are amazing. Wait/ordering can be hit or miss, and they run out of things all the time. Get there early and you won’t be disappointed.
