Love the beer selection & the vibe - a private party was taking place on one side of the restaurant so it was quite loud but still highly recommend. Get the pretzel & a boot!
Family was visiting from out of state
The food can be a 5, but if you arrive at the wrong time it’s just not set up to be quick. Looking to just slow roll through the day sipping on big beers and ordering sausage plates? Cool. It’ll be awesome. Looking to pop in for a quick lunch? No no no. Sit at the bar if you need faster service. Otherwise absorb the beer hall atmosphere and grab a board game.
Bartender looked like he was alone running service for every table, bussing too, and managed most of the place's orders by memory with every single patron smiling along for the ride. He was the most elite tavernkeeper I've ever seen outside of a video game or an anime, legendary stuff. Seemed to love what he does and patrons were all quite happy. The food was incredible and comforting, the pilsener I had was the perfect end of day beer that somehow felt as gourmet as a Bordeaux in the moment. It was delicious. Try The Pretzel, in half size first and then go ahead and order another full size to top it off. Can't think of a better place to bring a big family or loved one as the food is also incredibly affordable for the portion sizes. Best anniversary my wife and I have ever had in a restaurant!
The food was amazing and the service is always so wonderful.
The schnitzel was thick, more like a fried pork chop. The spaetzle was dry and flavorless. The pretzel was good and the cocktails were tasty so go if you want to get drinks and a small bite but no for German food.
Amazing beer and pretzels

If Chuck E Cheese was a bar with a German theme and local college students arrived for dollar beers. Food was mediocre. Service was same. To be fair, the staff is probably demoralized by a combination of the clientele and the noise. Ran out of silverware and glassware. Had to ask for both. Poor server only had time to take initial orders and deliver food. Time between ordering drinks and delivery was about the same as the food.
