The food is amazing here... best calamari we've had. Loved our main dishes... rigatoni, short ribs, pizza. All very tasty. There are multiple servers and they all did a great job. But... we had a bday celebration which I told the restaurant in advance. Now, usually restaurant sends a small plate of dessert w candle on it. What they did was put candle on a dessert that someone else in our party ordered and gave it to the bday person (not free). So we had to order a new dessert plate and was charged for both. This is not how you do business...

Fantastic meal & service. We started with the burrata & prosciutto, followed by salt crusted branzino with grapefruit supremes and capers & the wild boar pappardelle. It was all phenomenal. The service was also terrific.
We felt rushed from the moment we sat down and the food was just ok. We went because the patio is supposed to be nice. It was nicer than most but overall just an ok experience.

My favorite restaurant. Tony always takes care of everyone. The food is outstanding and it had the best patio in the city, hands down.
My husband and I had our date night at Piccolo Sogno last night and we were extremely satisfied by the service, food and ambiance. So glad we chose this restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal in an energetic yet romantic atmosphere.

One of my favorite places in Chicago! Never had a bad time there. Or a bad meal! Piccolo always manages to keep a warm, convivial atmosphere, both inside and out (although I must confess to enjoying the patio most!) Itâs a Chicago institution that never gets stuffy or old!
