Ever since it opened in 2019, Philz Coffee on Division has been one of my favorite coffee & work spots in Chicago! As a Mocha lover, I would often get the Mocha Tesora, although some of their other signature drinks like the mint mojito and rosé are refreshing too! If you like lighter blends, go for Dancing Water ☕️ ☺️. The large table in the center with outlets is definitely a plus for laptop users.
Confusing menu with a million coffee choices but no espresso drinks. Getting just a weak, bland cup of coffee was overpriced. Reminded me of diner coffee. Staff seemed to look down on us for finding the menu confusing. Apparently shopping here puts you on an email list because they somehow used my credit card to email my work address about applying for a job with Philz.
I’m so glad I finally stopped in after passing so many times! Everyone was so kind, especially the barista taking orders today. They were so helpful while ordering and pointed my friend and I in the right direction! I would not have ordered the iced mint mojito on my own, but now I can’t imagine getting anything else! Thank you for making my day!! Philz coffee is a ‘Can’t miss’.
I'd truly see the worth in each time I went to this bistro. The staff here is incessantly obliging and cordial. It was a particularly pleasant shop and there is for every circumstance a lot of pleasant seats to sit in. I was unable to have referenced better help from this spot. I thoroughly prescribe this spot to all espresso dears.

I had an interview at Philz Coffee this morning and my future colleagues picked the right place. There was a vast menu which included my black tea (I wasn’t feeling adventurous) and the staff were so kind and helpful. My barista was happy to help me get my tea just right with the right ratios of tea, milk and sugar and the raspberry danish was delicious. Overall a great stop and anyone passing by should stop into Philz. Thank you and I’ll see you again!
Visiting Chicago from Maryland. We’ve been on many trips and must say, Philz Coffee is one of the best we’ve come across. Great service and awesome coffee and pastries. Well done!
