The pizza is good. The crust is standard good. It’s not crispy and it’s not soggy.Tasty sausage and tasty parmigianno Reggiano cheese.I didn’t like that the QR code menu asks for your phone number and name. And there are no physical menus. I almost didn’t bring my phone.20% tip is automatically applied, but there’s a note on the table about that.Big place, quiet on a Sunday evening.Friendly but slow service.

Great pizza! Great atmosphere!

Went for a late night Friday dinner with my boyfriend and this place did not disappoint. Our hostess, server, and even the bartender were SUPER cheerful and recommended some great options. I had a margarita and the vegan Fast Car which was DELICIOUS! I loved the ricotta dollops. The taste was so decadent! I just wish the cheese was warm as it was served cold. However, the flavors and the crust were amazing! Probably some of the best thin crust pizza I’ve had in Chicago. My boyfriend had the Detroit style pepperoni pizza and literally gobbled down the whole thing! He can’t wait to come back! Date night approved and excited to visit another time.

Visited Paulie Gee’s on a very busy Saturday evening but the staff was professional, collected and so accommodating! The Detroit style pizza with bacon jam is a good option for anyone who embraces a variety of textures and flavours in a dish. The Paulie Cheese pizza (pictured here too) is a really great take on the four-cheese pizza, love that it has parmigiano reggiano!

The US pizza cup winner (I think that’s what it’s called?) is incredible, really rich in texture and the honey gives it a surprisingly sweet and smooth texture. Very lovely.I will say though - this place makes it a little difficult for takeout. Would’ve loved to place an order over the phone so I could ask questions about the menu, and some of these apps like Grubhub make it confusing enough to the point where not the entire menu appears to be available.

I really love Paulie Gee’s. Definitely one of my favorite places in Chicago. You can never go wrong with your pizza selection. I would highly recommend dining in vs. taking out though as the pizza needs to be reheated upon delivery. Why 4 stars and not 5 if I love the pizza? I will ALWAYS support small businesses but disappointed reading the responses to previous reviews sharing their opinions and/or feedback. Reviews are meant to share individual experience and opinions so not everyone will love the pizza.

The Detroit Style pizza here is unforgettable. Service is great and it is clear the owner works hard alongside staff and it creates a friendly atmosphere. We don’t mind paying the extra for these guys to pay their employees a fair wage. At least after eating here, we’re full and usually have leftovers. Keep up the good work! We will be back.

Probably the greatest pizza I’ve ever had. Also the staff was so kind and understanding when my feral kids wanted to dance to the great tunes that were playing. The kids wanted to go look at the ovens and as soon as they got back the workers put in a show and started tossing the dough. Bringing absolute wonder and amazement to my children. I cannot wait to come back and have more pizza. Worth every penny, and more.

Been here for dine in and take out. We are obsessed with the US pizza cup winner. It’s amazing with the combo of sweet and spicy. During the summer we also enjoyed the pizza slices. They were good also! The owner and workers have always been nice and friendly.

I ordered a pizza during the last cold snap. Pizza was ready when I arrived and I had my roommate preheat the oven per the boxes instructions. When I got home the pizza reheated quickly and I added a little more arugula. Overall very satisfying. The magic of Paulie Gees is the in restaurant experience. That’s when you can see how well treated the staff are and how kind the owner is. When Covid is over I’ll be back in for a boba mixed drink and a fresh pie. Until then we can all order pickup with a little grace and a quick reheat in the oven.
