We love the Pizza at Parlor. It is a fun setting as well
Going away party for a coworker but this is also our go to after work place and we love it!!!!
I have ordered many, many, many pizzas in my life, but never, until last night, have I had one arrive not cut into slices. That’s how my pizza from this place was delivered to my hotel last night, after over an hour wait. On a Wednesday night. After 10:00 pm, when we didn’t really have any other options. Whole, uncut, and cold. With pools of grease. I don’t mean warm. I mean COLD. Once we finally figured out how to tear our cold pizza into chunks so we could eat it, and blotted the grease off, it actually tasted pretty good. I’ll bet with any warmth at all, it would have been an outstanding pie. We also ordered a small Caesar salad to split. Of course, they didn’t include any silverware *with an order delivered to a hotel* so we had to eat our salad with our fingers and dip each piece of lettuce into the dressing. Again, had it been presented properly, it would have been a good salad. (Aside: menu claims it is a “Little Gem lettuce” Caesar salad”. It was not, it was Romaine, which was fine, but still a bait and switch.) All in all, I might dine in at this place but I will never order delivery from them again. Too many other zillions of choices out there. The only reason I didn’t give a one star review is because the food actually tasted good, once we figured out how to eat it.
The vibe and ambience of this place was great. We ordered their Kale and Artichoke Dip which was very tasty while the pizzas that we had ordered not so much. We ordered their Honey Boo Boo and Tedy Bruschetta pizzas, which were both way sweeter than we had expected. I still would like to give this place another shot and try their other pizzas.
We had dinner there as a group on Thursday night. Seated quickly for our reservation and the service was good. Very big variety of pizzas some with unusual flavors but all good. Our pizza had too much arugula on it but the cheese and other ingredients were delicious.
Good place to go out to, but the pizza was floppy and the cheese and toppings fell off
Everything I needed.
We sat outside. All caps pizza was good with sausage added.
We had a great time, our server was awesome and did a great job celebrating my friendâs birthday and accommodating a huge group of us! The pizza was amazing and came out very quickly. They have sharable punch bowls and pitchers for cocktails and the prices were very reasonable for downtown, so this is a great place for a large group of people. It was a very very dark restaurant which was probably our only complaint, but overall the ambience and experience was wonderful.
Parlor Pizza is one of my favorite spots in River North. Excellent cocktails, unique pizzas and a great environment. Food is always delish!
