Great food, great service. The menu is extensive and everything sounded delicious. The portions are generous. I got eggs with homemade corned beef hash. It was definitely homemade and tasty. I selected pancakes to accompany. The were tasty and fluffy. My date got thick sliced bacon with eggs. Also excellent! I'd read about the bloody Mary. It was great.
We went to pride and found this gem after. Wally was so sweet and entertaining! The fact that they're dog friendly was appealing. The drinks were fantastic. We can't wait to try the breakfast menu. Thanks for making our afternoon so special.
Amazing. Amazing.Visited Chicago and friend suggested this place.. best for breakfast and brunch.. avocado with poached egg is the best, must try. We also tried omelette and pancakes, everything was good. Definitely recommend this place.
It’s a very good place to have breakfast/brunch. Food is delicious and stuff is extremely friendly. I found their salmon Benedict one of the best in town! I am also a huge fan of their Bloody Mary it’s just so perfect. My server Hanna was extremely nice and attentive, I’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food and service! Overall great experience.
Pancake Cafe was a beautiful breakfast place to eat. I love the service of our server, Kate. The menu had some innovative items that I appreciated. I had the baked omelet with feta, spinach, and meat lovers items. I also had "bacon pancakes." The only reason I didn't give a 5 was that the taste wasn't over the top, but it was delicious. The vibe was good for families or individuals, good for after partying, or if you want to read a good book while eating. All in all, great breakfast restaurant.
I was very excited to go here, food looked good and they had adult drinks for breakfast. Perfect on my 1st day of in 3 months between working in Chicago and Wisconsin. I found parking, hard part done right? Wrong. I walked in, I was greeted and was sat at the bar. Probably about 4-5 other people inside eating. I sat, and I sat. I was told here's a water for you and the maybe bartender maybe busboy I'm not really sure just walked away. No prior greeting, no can I get you something to drink, no we'll be right with you , nothing. So I sat, and I sat. Looked at my menu, sat menu down, closed menu. And. I. Sat. Then a maybe waiter and a possible waitress in training came behind the bar and proceeded to chit-chat. While me still no drink, still no order taken, still no communication. I couldn't take being ignored any longer. I stood up, told the two behind the bar that I will be going somewhere where there is service, and I left. I will not be back. I can't believe the utter lack of customer service, and respect. This review doesn't even begin to explain just how unimportant they have the ability to make you feel at this location. Will not be back.
Awesome place! Very kind waiters, no long waiting time (do reserve if possible tho). Fair prices and tasted very well! Do highly recommend for a breakfast/brunch
Great corner location, attentive staff and the best sausage gravy and biscuits! That said, I was very disappointed in the 'veggie crepe' (way too big and thick for a delicate crepe...think more along the lines of a huge burrito). The service was good and plenty of selections. Overall a very good experience.
I had the classic buttermilk pancakes, they were so good ??? I miss them already, I'd have them everyday if I could ❤️ The service was great, I loved our server (I didn't catch their name, silly me)--so bubbly and kind ? Oh, and the hot chocolate was out of this world. So so good ???
