Sad to see a good place turn shady. (Read til the end to make sure you don't get tricked into paying more) yesterday I brought friends who had never been and I was really hyping the place up. I noticed there's suddenly way too much on the menu, my friend and I ordered shakes because it said that they include 2mini donuts. We didn't get the donuts and a very nice young lady said they would make some if we were willing to wait and we agreed. Suddenly a husky male manager came forward and said rudely "our donut machine is down" to which I replied "is this McDonald's or what?" I heard him tell the girl it was "clogged" and I just left it at that. No need for an argument God forbid I be labeled a Karen for wanting everything the menu said my 7 dollar milkshake includes they really should have been advising people at the register and offering a small discount on that item if the donuts aren't available. That was kind of shady and wrong but not nearly as shady as what happens at the register when you go to pay with a card. It automatically selects the tip and if you don't see too well or aren't paying attention they automatically get a tip. It definitely feels like they are setting it up to get more money from people who can't see or are distracted/not paying attention. Wow what kind of place sets people up like that they got my 70-year-old father like that about a year ago but I decided to give them another try. Dear rainbow cone, you are getting too big for your britches yeah the ice cream is good but with service like that and deceptive practices you are bound to lose your rear ? (photo included is the credit card screen as it immediately appears after ordering you have to physically select that you do not want to tip). Terrible.

Wow, such a nice experience. I tried the rainbow cone which was interestingly delicious and the cake batter. Both were really good. Staff was very friendly. Fresh donuts were being made. Great for kids and groups.

Ice cream is always great but I'll never pay $7 for a milkshake from this place again. Didn't get my donuts as advertised, it was watery and everyone was focused on fixing other ice cream items while I waited for my milkshake, 4 - 5 people behind the counter and one person couldn't do the milkshake. Horrible experience

Great place, had the rainbow cone on a waffle cone and it was delicious. Also had some donuts, melt in your mouth good. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Staff was courteous and professional. Ample parking. Would visit again.

I looooooooooove rainbow cone. Always good and refreshing. Plenty of little spots to sit around rather it be with your family or with one other person. Parking is tight so be mindful. If you have a Tesla there is a charging station directly across the street.

One of the southsides best summer treats. Open for 95 years they are serving the greatest combination of icecreams ever combined. Make sure to grab plenty of napkins or bring wet wipes as when it's hot out they do tend to get messy.

The funnest ice cream I’ve had. Which flavor will be your favorite - chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House (vanilla with cherries and walnuts), pistachio, or orange sherbet?

Decades on and their classic stacked flavors still are just scrumpdilleicious !!! Put a smile on your face with a classic rainbow cone.

Love this place! Staff is friendly and fast. Lines can be long, but they breeze through it and wait is never long. Ice cream is DELICIOUS and worth the drive for me. A little pricey, but worth every penny!

This place is a Southside STAPLE. And with good reason. On the same corner and lot for 95+ years and with the same recipe. Nothing beats Rainbow Cone in the summer. Even if the legendary isn't for you the flavors just BY THEMSELVES trump any ice cream out there.Support local. Taste a legend.
