The food was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the service. Jullian was nowhere to be found and had an attitude any time we asked for something. Not to mention I overheard him degrading another employee, just very unprofessional overall. I frequent this location and hope to never be served by him again.

Really good soul food restaurant. For an appetizer we had the Pot Roast Cupcakes which is pot roast and mashed potatoes on top of a cornbread muffin - delicious! My husband ordered the pot roast with corn and Mac n cheese and he said it was delicious. I ordered the fried catfish with greens and Mac n cheese - delicious as well. They don't do fountain drinks which is ridiculous in this day and age so you get a can of soda if you like. They have some different teas that most people order. Overall good experience.

Finally made it to the actual restaurant on 83rd St, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had to send the catfish back because it wasn’t hot but that wasn’t a problem. With every bite, I just kept wondering “who is back there cooking?” This was not restaurant quality food, this was going to your mother or granny’s house food. Like they really know something back there. I have to give special recognition to the lamb chops. There were seasoned perfectly and tender and downright delicious! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I was also impressed with the service. So happy to see young people in the inner city giving quality service. Kudos to the owners! Not pictured: Obama sweet tea. It was good but so sweet that I had to add water. — with Stephen Henry at Oooh Wee It is.

Everything was good except the smothered pork chops. The pork chops were fried hard and covered in gravy. If this is how they always serve this dish, then they should remove this item from the menu. The shrimp and grits were good but two flaws... They were not jumbo or butterflied. Hennessey wings were nice. The oxtails and pot roast were great dishes. These are the only items that are worth the wait. The cupcakes are cute but not worth the price. This was a corn muffin with mashed potatoes with a small shred of roast on top.Small groups are better because the tables are small and plates are too big. Service was good. Novelty decor and swings allow for fun picture opportunities. Tip included for large parties... My group had five people.Green tomatoes ?Wings ?Cupcakes ?Grilled catfish ?Pot roast Oxtails Shrimp and grits ?Smothered Porkchops ??Speciality drinks ?Cobbler ?Variety of sides (greens, string beans, Mac and cheese, rice, mashed potatoes, yams, corn) ?

Wed better phone service

Had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Being a southern native I’m always skeptical of soul food. Everything I tried was delicious! -greens w/h turkey, candied sweet potatoes, pot roast cupcakes, spinach artichoke pot roast dip, bbq chicken tips, baked chicken, peach cobbler and Obama tea! Great service as well! Will definitely return. (Dedicated parking lot for dine in)

My food was excellent! It's always a wait but well worth it. The manager Aliesha was helping all the wait staff do everything. She walked around and noticed if you needed anything. Steven my server was nice and checked on us often. The food was hot, fresh and so well seasoned. I loved my experience and I will definitely be back.

Delicious fried catfish, greens, and mac & cheese. Others said the bourbon chicken was good! The decor cute, with a cereal bar! Off the street parking available!

Beautiful music and poetry beautiful songstress of good fun time from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. delicious all you can eat buffet just a lovely time was that a celebrate my best friend's birthday with her family and it was lovely

My first time dining here was today for a friend's birthday/retirement party. The food was fantastic. The wait staff were polite and tried to be as swift as possible. It got a little congested with the banquet line but I have to say it was worth the wait!
