Owner is a super nice guy. The food is solid, but can’t really compete with some other local spots like sultan’s. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby, though.

Order a beef shawarma platter. Very big portion for the price (could easily feed two people), and it’s delicious! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quick, casual and tasty lunch/dinner.

Oasis Fresh is a fantastic local option for anyone in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview East area. I live relatively close to this restaurant and find myself there a few times a month for fantastic dinner to go. I also love that it is a small business and not a larger chain like many of the places that have popped up nearby. It puts a smile on my face when I walk in and know that not only am I getting great food at a great price, but I am also supporting locally owned/operated and someone with a dream to have their own restaurant and share their food/culture with the community.

I get this place multiple times a week. Great food and generous portions. Both the chicken shawarma and steak tacos are phenomenal

This place is amazing in so many ways! Hands down the BEST hummus (which is freshly made), phenomenal customer service, and large portions for the price. I will be back again and again.

My boyfriend and I bike several miles just to eat at this place, winter and summer. It’s probably our favorite spot just off the lake trail. Ate here once and knew we would be back! Food is delicious, owner is a delight. I always get the lentil soup and spinach pie, this time got some basmati rice to go with it and my boyfriend immediately said he’d have to get some too next time. Tasty desserts, too! Definitely lives up to its name, this place truly is an oasis.

This is very near where I live so I am biased by that I suppose. That said the food is fresh, nicely prepared and at an incredible price point. The menu fusing in tacos is funny! The place is clean and those who work there (including the owners most of the time) are patient, courteous and just plain nice.Maybe because "Chucky's" first victim, a babysitter, fell four floors and died right on the corner (a friend led the puppet crews for the first movies), that location has been marked by death of restaurant ventures forever. Actually some were just weird and made big price point mistakes.Oasis Fresh opened right at the start of the pandemic. Since it is mainly takeout it did really well I think. Speaking of which. They use really nice containers for take out food. I like the schwarma dishes and falafel salad. They do have a few tables and chairs inside and out.

The owner is terrific and goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service to customers. This is a hidden East Lakeview gem for fresh and easy Mediterranean takeout! The food is always fresh and flavored perfectly. Our go to order is the two-protein platter, extra pita, and lentil soup. Do not forget to add the delicious, creamy, vegan tahini sauce and sweet/spicy sauce to your order.

Great food. Gotten it twice via Grubhub now. What got me was the Falafel. So crispy and tasty. Even the chicken shawarma is delicious and juicy. Overall, my food showed up on time and hot so I was very much pleased. Now for things I didn’t much like: The fact that you don’t get hot sauce with a chicken plate on the side?, Lamb/Beef kofta was bland and really lacking flavor, the salad truly was not my favorite and really lacked flavor (where is the tabhoulie?) and please for the love of god, give out more hummus. It’s really not enough lol.All in all, I would still go back as it was a decent value, quality meal.

I love having this place in the neighborhood & the food is always perfect! The patriarch & matriarch of this family biz are the hardest working people in Chicago. THIS IS THE SPOT FOR GYROS, FALAFEL & OTHERWISE
