Sean was my server. Amazing guy. Lovely, friendly host. Food was good. Fair price. Good environment. I order GF salad with grilled chicken. Buffalo wings and fish and chips. We shared our food. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Service was fast. We ate outside but went inside for for bathroom and sitting. Super nice and clean place. I truly have nothing negative to say about my visit here.
O'Shaughnessy's has the largest variety of Irish food bar none. I lived in Ireland for 1 year and wanted to enjoy a full Irish breakfast on Father's Day that was authentic. I ordered the "Full Irish" which included 2 Bangers, 2 rashers, 2 black and 2 white puddings, grilled tomato, potatoes, baked beans, and two eggs which I had prepared over easy. I had "brown bread" as well with my breakfast, all of which was simply delicious. My wife had the shepherd's pie along with a Smithwick's beer another added bonus as some American / Irish pubs only carry Guinness. The menu overall is extensive. The wait staff are kind, friendly and professional. After driving 82 miles home, my wife realized she was missing an earring. We contacted O'Shaughnessy's and they had found the missing earring and left it at the bar for us to return and pick-up. I can't help but think that many other eating establishments may have just tossed the missing earring and focused on hungry, paying customers. Thank you Chuy for finding the earring and storing it for us until we could return for it. Overall, this is an excellent Irish restaurant with wonderful staff.
I always love coming here because of the cool crowd. The salmon special was excellent so I had to post. Staff is top notch and the pub always feels clean and fresh. Oh and my martini was on point! See you next time.
Had a good time here for Saturday brunch. Lots of good beers on tap, plus an extensive liquor list. Food was average, but was made up for by the great service. Plus, the ambiance was comfortable. I would recommend this pub for a casual meal.
One of my favorite places to get Fish & Chips in the city. I love the atmosphere and the menu has enough variety for everyone. It can get very crowded, which I personally don't mind, but just something to keep in mind if you're coming with a big group.
Love-love Mary (waitstaff)...She treats us so good! Great food - lovely atmosphere.
We missed this place so much because we didn’t go out during the pandemic. Happy to be back. Our favorite Irish pub in the city. Great drink, great food, friendly crowd, friendly staff, not overpriced. Just exactly what a local Irish pub should be.
This place is amazing and Chuy is the best bartender. Manchester United bar baby!!! ?☘️?
Delicious food (I had the shepherd's pie, best I ever had) and good service. Super friendly staff. I'll be back!
The shepherds pie egg rolls were bomb! I've never had anything like them. They have daily specials and an abundance of beverage options. I had a yummy pineapple cider. The Guinness is the go to in an Irish pub of course. If you want the proper Irish experience this is the place to go. Lovely part of the city up North. On summer nights several places to walk and close to CTA.
