I was around 1:30 p.m. for buy bagels , but bagels weren't !! I wanted buy to elderly neighbor, but .. oh, well, couldn't get it. Breakfast items should be whole day until close.

Whether it is Chanukah or Shiva, the folks at North Shore Kosher Bakery deliver both treats and empathy in equal measure. Their baked goods are not only kosher but also beyond delicious! Moreover, the customer service is phenomenal! Highly recommend stopping in for any occasion. Be sure to order ahead during the holidays because you will absolutely want more food than you think! :)
Going from Michigan to Chicago visiting grandma. This bakery is to die for. I also wanted to buy a kosher friend some treats they were wonderful at guiding me to but the right things. Been there twice and had a tremendous experience. Thank you.

A fantastic family owned bakery on Chicago's north side. Very friendly staff and easy to order. Great quality products including really nice 7 grain breads. I would recommend the poppyseed coffee cakes, spinach borekas and the flatbread crackers. It's worth a visit!
North Shore Kosher Bakery, or North Shore Baking, advertises "Chicago's best fresh bread" and once you have sampled some pumpkin bread or whole wheat bread or raisin challah...well, it ain't bragging if you can do it. Located at 2919 West Touhy Avenue, between California and Sacramento, in the West Rogers Park neighborhood, this family owned, certified Kosher bakery is known for its breads, custom cakes, and pastries such as Israeli rugelach and custard eclairs and mousse tart and chocolate banana torte. Open from 7 to 2 Sunday through Friday, North Shore Kosher Bakery also offers pumpkin pie, apple pie, chocolate mousse pie, caramel mousse cake and chocolate mousse cake. On our most recent visit, my wife and I left with a half-dozen chocolate filled croissants, a half-dozen brownies, a half-dozen custard eclairs, an apple pie and a loaf of whole wheat bread. You can't get enough of a good thing.
O..M..G! Wife and I came here based on recommendation from a friend. We bought a cherry coffee cake to take to a friend's house. Let me tell you, it is delicious! Perfect pastry and packed with lovely cherry filling. Next time, and there WILL be next time, we're picking up a yummy chocolate coffee cake just for the two of us!
They have the best chocolate eclairs.
