My favorite tofu banh mi in the city! They totally change the texture of the tofu and both flavors are amazing.
Ok first let me state I been eating Vietnamese food since the 80s so I do know a bit of this food by now. I must say the bread was fantastic the bbq pork was a bit dry and not enough for 10.00 dollars. I asked for the sauce with peanut she claim she didn’t have any so it was a bit dry. Overall a bit pricey for a sandwich at 11.00 but there is a solution I noticed they sell the bbq pork by portion for 13.00 will buy that next time with the bread and create my own.
obviously there's lots of great food in this neighborhood, honestly there's a lot of great Vietnamese food within a couple blocks of here.but Nhu Lan? Nhu Lan has the best banh mi in the city of Chicago, hands down. their bread is always on point, their tofu sandwiches are totally killer, the ingredients are fresh and the price is nigh unbeatable.11/10, been coming here for literally decades.
Consistently fresh and delicious bahn mi, Vietnamese appetizers and desserts and my fave part is honestly their fruit smoothies with boba. The tapioca is soft and bouncy and the smoothies are obviously made with fresh fruit.
Love coming here for their delicious banh mi!!! Friendly service and they also have so many other Vietnamese appetizers and desserts. Yummm
This place is delicious! We will snag bahn mi from here for lunch and walk home. It’s always top notch. I love the chicken lemongrass and my partner often ventures out in their menu and everything has been great. Definitely recommend!
My friend and I got Bahn Mi from here yesterday and it was great! I got the lemongrass chicken and it was really flavorful and juicy! I also got a mango smoothie and it tasted like they used fresh mango, which I loved. It was my first time having Bahn Mi and I can’t wait to come here and have it again 10/10
My favorite Vietnamese iced coffee place in the city including the ones in argyle and ca phe da. It's the closest one to ho chi minh city I've had here. Also love all the food ive had including the bahn mis, spring rolls, roast pork, roast duck, and more. Can't go wrong here.
Banh mi was delicious and they give you extra fluffy yummy bread. I will definitely be back.
Definitely one of my favorite placed for Vietnamese food in Chicago! When you walk in, there is loads of options for takeaway, including a whole wall of che(dessert)! The iced coffee tastes just like what I used to drink on vacation in Saigon! The banh mi is a little more expensive than what I've paid at other places around Chicago ($9 compared to $6) but is definitely worth it!
