Love the idea of ordering from your table and getting it served there. Being a first timer, this gave me time to know what to order. The food was amazing!! Chicken was juice and flavorful!
Nando’s is supposed to be delivering food fast. However, what I had just 3 minutes ago is totally unbearable. I’m extremely turned on by 3 facts.1. the counter lady tried to persuade me into believing that the average waiting time is meant to be half an hour, which will apply to simple sides. Yeah you hear that right, they need half an hour to prepare some Rice.2. the kitchen guy claimed the reason for the delay is that there were not enough chicken so they need to back it up. But our chicken should be on grill soon Note, NOT ENOUGH CHICKEN.3. it soon turned out that our order is NEVER in the mode of MAKING. They never put our chicken on grill.I guess customer are expected to leave Nando’s with pleasure from good food and excellent service. But it’s not the case for me. I left with only disappointment and pure frustration from the excuses.Nevertheless, there is still some bright side in it. My friend and I got refunded by the manager and walked out after seemingly endless waiting.
Fun atmosphere. Lots of color and fun music. PERi-PERi chicken bowl was excellent! Enjoyed the window being open on a beautiful day.
If you’re getting takeout from this location, don’t. Dining in? Cool, enjoy the food and portions! But I cannot stress this enough: Do. Not. Order. Takeout. On the plus side the food was ready quickly, but you get half the portion and — if you’re lucky — your entire order right. Somebody else likened it to a kids meal and I’ve gotta agree.
My experience for a first timer was unfortunately bad. The hostess made the process of ordering complicated then our waitress only came to us once to take the order and to bring the food. The good didn't look good nor done. We had to take our good back to the cook to ask him to make it well. And the kicker is when I spoke with another gentleman that works there his solution was come on a different day because some cooks are lazy and you don't know what you'll get. Are you serious? The cook even came out to suggest that we order well done next time. I thought chicken comes done? This chicken was pink. Needless to say as a radio personality I won't be coming back.
I definitely underestimated this place when I first stepped in. It's a fast casual spot where you can order from your phone and get table service. They also serve wines (couldn't tell if they had a bar too). Peri peri chicken is their signature; I had it in skewer form and it had an excellent char to it. The flavor was decent, but there was definitely room for it to pop more. The sauces help; all of them were pretty solid, but lemon herb was my front runner. The brussels sprouts were a very solid 8/10 for me. There were plenty other hearty options on menu, so you can get creative. If I lived/worked around here, I'm sure Nando's would become a lunch break go-to spot.
Food and atmosphere was great. Beautiful aesthetic. The one issue I have is you order everything from your seat but if you need water or additional sauces there's no way to do it and you have to get then yourself.
I had the thighs and mighty chicken sandwich. It was very flavorful. I selected the spicy flavor. However, it was not spicy at all. I will definitely go up to the highest heat level next time.
The food is outstanding ! Vegetarian and vegan choices. My wife and kids say the fried chicken is out of this world. They are a international restaurant chain.
The place looks great. The food is consistently excellent and it's something different than your run of the mill fast food. The people working there have been very nice. Prices are moderate. Sweet afropop playing on the sounds system. A great option on the 53rd street strip.
