Highly recommend getting the bowl!Everything balances out well. From slightly spicy chicken (I chose 'hot' for sauce), nicely seasoned rice, slightly sweet corn, smooth hummus to fresh arugula, flavour is great.I think the ordering process is inconvenient. You need to scan the QR code, order online, pay online etc. Modification is very limited, so you can not sub, nor have 'light' setting.However, if you are not very tech savvy, you can order at the counter, and friendly cashier will help you.Oh, we ordered chicken wings and they were pretty small, but flavour was good.
My wife and I settled on the chicken breast sandwich to shave a few calories off our lunch. We both loved it. Very tender and tasty. Choice of sauces was great as well. Prices are a bit high for the ,type of food but worth trying if you are around one of their locations.
So, I want to start by saying that I had no idea what Peri-Peri was, so I cannot compare it to any other experience. I had the avocado feta bowl with chicken, and it was SO good. I got the order to go, so I took a container of their hot sauce, medium sauce, and the garlic herb sauce, because I wanted to try them all. The bowl didn't even need sauce because the chicken and rice had a great flavor. I enjoyed all three sauces and just ate some of each. It was very filling and satisfying. The two young ladies that were working the front counter were very kind and had the BEST Irish accents.
I started eating before taking nice photos of my food. Anyway, so the Taste of Chicago is going on. Who needs the Taste food when there is a Nando’s . Every time I decide to come downtown . This location is my favorite spot to eat! They never , I mean N E V E R disappoint.The place is always packed . They move u in and leaving u satisfied and sleepy. I like the fact that u can not overcrowd the area while waiting for a pickup or waiting to be seated. The server said a 15-20 min wait and I was seen in that time frame.Keep up the good work !!
I always walk by this restaurant and decided to walk in and order lunch to go. To my surprise I discovered that this is a South African restaurant with delicious food! The decor brings you into an African atmosphere right away. If you love art you will certainly appreciate this restaurant. The lovely person who took my to go order - Liz - saw that I loved the picture on the back of the menu and told me to take it home. I need to go back and find out who the artist is. They are known for their PERi-PERi chicken and even sell an array of sauces that I'm sure must be delicious. I'm a vegetarian and was very pleased with my Sweet Potato Halloumi Wrap made with charred sweet potatoes with arugula, yogurt sauce and chili jam. For dessert don't leave without the Naughty Natas- Portuguese custard tart to die for. I can't wait to go back and bring my friends. I went to the 117 E Lake St location. Thanks again to Liz who was so nice.
Man I’m on fire this week for good food, another winner here,Got the classic chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. Perfectly cooked grilled chicken breast - huge respect to the quality because that is something established restaurants have a lot of trouble doing, even $$$ restaurants. Sauce is super good - got the medium spice level, but I would say it’s about as spicy as a buffalo sauce (doesn’t taste like that though).Way too expensive. I’ll want to come back unlike most things I rate 3 stars because this was really good. I truly WANT to rate this place 4 stars, but no way I could make this a staple when the sandwich and nothing else cost me 17 DOLLARS. This almost makes Five Guys look reasonable, the saving grace at this establishment is that the food is actually really good.We’ll see what I think if I come back a few times. Would like to try some of their other options!
So so good! This was our first time trying Nando’s and it was delicious! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful, the fries were seasoned and crispy, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and our food was out super quickly! I can’t remember the last time I finished my food at a restaurant but I devoured my food here, can’t wait to come again!
My food was really good. I will say my friend compared his wings to mine and some of mine were tiny. When I asked the server could I get more and showed her the size, the manager sent me over more which was an added bonus. (Compare the size of two drums next to each other on the second pic. )
Went for lunch. Fast service. Wasn't crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Good food. More expensive than I normally pay for lunch, but a real treat for something exotic and out of my usual food options. FYI, having had Peri-Peri in South Africa this version is made much milder for the American diner than the original.
Arrived at the middle of a very busy lunch rush. My friend and I ordered an app and a half chicken (lemon). App was out about 30 minutes after ordering. The staff checked on us a couple of times apologizing for the wait. When it slowed and we still didn't have our main meal, I spoke with a very nice manager who was horrified we'd been waiting that long. Somebody had deleted our order! No big deal, it happens! We got our order just a few minutes later. And the manager refunded me even though I didn't ask for it. Very competent upper management and very friendly staff. The chicken was AMAZING!
