This is a great place to stop during Do Division Fest!
We love Mr. Kite’s!! They have an excellent selection for immediate indulgences like ice cream, ice cream sandwiches and chocolates but also great ideas for gifting for dinner parties, hostess gifts, etc. The team is so kind and Wicker Park is lucky to have a small business like this in our neighborhood!
The sweetest (pun intended) staff I’ve ever met! And an amazing variety for chocolate lovers and ice cream lovers both. The manager said thank you at least 10 times. Extremely grateful and appreciative for the business. Highly recommend!
This place is phenomenal. Everything we picked out was incredible. Almond clusters, s’mores, lemon and Orange cremes. Time to stop buying any mass produced candy and go here for the good stuff. Very reasonable prices as well. Support them!
I hate writing negative reviews for small local places, but everything I got here was disappointing and lacking in flavor. I got a few chocolates, none of which were great, and a black forest euro cake which was the worst of the lot. It had no cherry flavor (it's black forest!) and a funky texture. I don't think we'll even finish it what I got here :(
The best! We had the chocolate cake, which was spectacular. They even had gluten free cake, which was just amazing. Great shop, tasty treats, and super nice owner. He really wants you to enjoy your selections and he takes so much care and pride. A+.
Sweets are fresh and delicious! The person behind the counter was nice and very helpful (I was there to pick up a gift and left with a couple sweets for my home) Definitely worth my 45 min drive to Mr. Kite’s Shop :)
They were very helpful over the phone. I live in a different state and couldn't find a decent gift basket online. I was able to purchase multiple items and have them delivered at the right time. They even sent photos of the basket. Pretty sweet!
Ordered taffy apples as favors for my daughter's bridal shower. They were perfect and so yummy! The guests loved them it was a huge hit. So easy to work with they even let me pick multiple ribbon colors to match the decor! Thank you!
I loved this place but no more. Every year, I order taffy apples. Carmel, pecans and chocolate. Turtlevtaffy apple. $8 an apple. This year I called to order them and he said they would be ready after 6. I went and picked them up, gave his wife my card and had a conversation with him. When I got home and took them out of the bag, the Receipt fell out. $18 an apple and no chocolate. I called and he said Supply chain problems. When I asked about the chocolate, he said I didn't want chocolate. No one who knows me would think those words would ever come out of my mouth. He would not allow me to speak, he just said it's not his fault. His product was fresh but they are over charging customers, don't give you what was ordered and then blame you for their mistakes. NEVER AGAIN.
