The staff here are phenomenal. Pictured is the bartender making like 12 drinks at once. Very good ambiance, lighting and music are on time. It wouldn’t be a great place to come solo — there is bar seating but it’s limited and busy. There are mostly tables. When we got there, there was a line out the door waiting to get in, but it moved really fast (I think we only waited 15 mins). You have to show proof of vaccination to get in still; haven’t seen that in a while but honestly it’s a good choice for a busy place like this.4 stars just because the drinks were insanely expensive. We racked up $100 bill on five drinks!
Fantastic for post dinner drinks. Dark and moody. Great music playing. Makes you feel “cool” being inside. Also there is literally a “money gun” on the shelf.
Gabe gave us such a great experience last time my sister and I were here. I've come back several times looking for GABE since then. I was not really in to pina coladas but he made mine so perfect... I'm now hooked. Would not be coming to money gun unless it wasn't for GABE....I'm going to continue to ask for him every time I'm here
Busy for a Friday and a bit understaffed, I really can't complain about the wait time because our bartender was genuinely trying her best. I liked their expansive drink menu, mix of bar / table seating, and especially the music. We had a French 75 and a Long Island Ice Tea. Clientele here skews a little older, like late 20s early 30s.
This place is the bees knees the hostess was wearing the grooviest ensemble when greeting at the front and the disco music was banging. Will definitely be coming back soon ? I would describe the energy as psychedelic ??✌?
Well made drinks. I had the pimms cup, and the clover club. Perfection. Dmmer lights slightly too loud music though ;-) but maybe I'm old.
Great vibes here — minimum pretentiousness with maximum quality; I consider this a hallmark of a quality Chicago bar.Weeknights are decently populated but not crowded, so you get great service from knowledgeable bartenders while simultaneously not feeling like you’re in a ghost town.Weekend nights the place gets BUSY, so if you want to sit down, show up a little early. It’s worth it either way.
Great cocktails and atmosphere
Great drinks and ambiance. Loved the old school hip hop in the background which wasn't so loud that I couldn't hear my husband. The blood and sand is also a new favorite. Overall, it's a perfect lounge for cocktails, boilermakers, and hanging with friends.
Fun, low-lit atmosphere, a little pricey. I liked that they have a select few “monthlygun” house cocktails for which a percentage of the proceeds go to a good cause. Two drinks and an appetizer came to $60 with tax and tip. Overall, cozy spot in the winter and this would be a perfect place for a date or night out with friends.
