Absolutely excellence in all they do! Plus they go above beyond with gluten-free diners!
Amazing escargot, delicious Gem Salad, and yummy mussels--overall a wonderful evening!
Great ambiance combined with delicious, fresh creative dining choices. A lovely evening with very attentive service.
Still wonderful as ever
Dinner w my daughter. The restaurant has special meaning to us. Both happy and sad. Happy always wins out.
Food was very good; loved beef Wellington, steak and salmon. Service friendly and helpful. Only problem: sides came 15 minutes after our main course. Due to kitchen/communication snafu. Would have liked sides to come at same time as main course Great neighborhood spot.
I love everything about this restaurant... except, the reservation said we would be allowed two hours at our table and it felt like we were being watched once the hostess kept walking through looking at an iPad. I felt like my two hours was up and she kept coming through to check on us, when I really had another 15 minutes.
There are so many reasons to love this restaurant. The food, the service from our server, Mark M, the friendly ambience, and the lovely music that isnât too loud! My sister and I have Celiac disease and must be gluten free. There is no problem finding numerous wonderful dishes. Very happy here.
Horrible brunch, hot and humid. Could not get my money back because I used open table. A very rigid reservation system in place. You must pay for your reservation or lose your deposit even though there was no air conditioning. Hotter than the hot and humid outdoors. Appalled at wine list paid 56 for a 2019 Loumerlat Bordeaux that is 5 in France 12 in the the US. A markup on an average at best 2019 to 56 says it all. It will be lovely later, but not 56 lovely. This place was once my favorite and has become ridiculous. I love the wines of the Blayne but Loumerlat would be embarrassed to serve the 2019 for 56 right now. No apologies for broken air conditioning. Lies the kitchen is hot it will cool down after the lunch rush hour is over. A series of excuses and lies continued. Only the busboy was honest that air had been broken all day. Would have been fine simply with an offer to walk away with my reservation refunded. Instead a series of excuses and lies tarnished the once excellent reputation of this restaurant. I asked about the A/C before being seated and wanted to leave. Said it was only a temporary inability to keep up with a hot kitchen. Said it would cool quickly. Lying staff must feel terrible about themselves, their jobs and this new low for a once gem in my neighborhood. The Mussels were great but not under these unfortunate circumstances. The rest of the food and the service were well below average for Chicago. You had to pay to get a baguette. It was not included. Can you imagine any restaurant calling themselves a French Bistro and not serving a baguette with the Moules? We were so disgusted we did not order the baguette. No longer a French Bistro an odd and culturally irrelevant money making chain. Stay away. So many young French chefs arriving with authentic bistro fare. This is the place to go for those who prefer the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas over Paris. If you want authentic French it has disappeared
We always very much enjoy Mon Ami Gabi, the food always done perfectly and service is great! Keep up the great work and we will be back soon
