Our server Taylor was outstanding both with her recommendations for our group and service.

Celebrating mini-moon!

Party of six with unanimous praise of the entire experience. We started with craft cocktails; delicious, followed by several speciality rolls and nigiri. Fish was incredibly fresh, rolls had the ideal blend of flavors that require zero soy. We moved on to the cooked side; spaghetti, chahan, negima, skirt steak, sliders. We enjoyed the meal family style, did doubles where it made sense, chef added two items to the 4 servings to accommodate party of six. Service was a delight, thorough description of menu, perfect pacing of courses, attentive without any aspect of rushing us out the door. This isn’t an inexpensive meal. It was an experience that was enjoyed by our entire party. A few said best meal in Chicago and they’ve been hitting the top 20.

Fabulous dinner! We were looking for something different and exciting and Momotaro was the answer. The menu had so many interesting options and our server guided us in our choices. We split four dishes between the two of us. The dishes came out one at a time so we could enjoy each separately. We found each one to be delicious. We enjoyed the ambience - modern, intimate and comfortable. Our server was friendly and helpful and the delivery of each dish was perfectly paced. I will look forward to going again the next time I'm in Chicago.

Food was next level, our server was fantastic. The rest of the team were all on top of their game with clearing/marking and dropping food with poise. My only negative is that the temperature is far too cold, but it is a sushi restaurant, so maybe it makes sense. Overall my dinner was one of the best I’ve had.

Ordered drinks right when we sat down. Took 30 minutes for them to arrive. When they arrived, we ordered 5 dishes. The five dishes showed up in less than 10 minutes with no coursing out like you could expect from a Boka restaurant. In 50 minutes the experience was over and a huge waste of time and money. Yikes.

Overall we enjoyed our experience at Momotaro. The restaurant is beautiful and all of the food that we tried was delicious. We had the octopus and scallop dishes from the hot menu and the chef's choice nigiri plate, which was amazing. The service was fair. We often waited for long periods of time to have someone check on us for drink orders and our server didn't seem very interested in explaining the menu, which made ordering challenging if you are not extremely well versed in Japanese food.

Had a great time the desserts were amazing!

Definitely a pricey spot but absolutely worth it! My husband and I ate here for our wedding anniversary. We shared the chefs seasonal sashimi plate, the buri, some nagiri and a rice dish. We definitely could’ve done without the rice dish (very large) but everything was incredible!! Will definitely go back

Food was incredible, some of the best sushi I've ever had. Service was also excellent
