For the best Tex Mex in Chicago please don’t miss this eatery. It’s casual but the food is out of this world. Best shrimp fajitas in town hands down. And the crispy fish tacos too. That spicy cheese dip was magical. It’s BYOB! Go here!
I absolutely loved their enchilada suizos as it was a burrito dipped in enchilada sauce. I ordered the one with fajita veggies and it is right around Belmont. It was a huge portion so I you will have leftovers. If you are in town, go check it out.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Mixteco! Can't go wrong with any of their burrito options! Plus, their cheese dip is to die for. I'm new to the city and this is my favorite Mexican food spot so far.

This was a suprise for us. We'd just gotten to our Airbnb and wanted so food before our concert. Mixteco had a steady stream of delivery people in and out so we decided that was as good a sign as any. We were not disappointed! It's pricy, but the food is amazing! The portions are huge and the wait time was minimal. If we are ever back in that neighborhood, this will be a stop! Highly recommended!
Fast and delicious! The main waitress was incredibly kind and super great for suggestions. Great place for street tacos and the churros were pretty good.
Had family in town from Detroit. Every time i talk to them they say they want to come back and go here. Their staff is nice and the food is amazing. Definitely suggest you stop by!
I have only tried delivery, and it has not disappointed. Although there has been some variability in quality, I will take Mixteco as my second/third go to Mexican delivery system without hesitation any-day. The taco Tuesday special is a must try [you can often find discount deals by searching for Mixteco + Chicago + coupon] Keep repping for Oaxaca's La Mixteca!
Really great food!!! We've had the taco dinner, quesadilla, churros, chips and guac, and chips and salsa and would HIGHLY reccomend all of it. Really great value for the price! It's definitely as good, if not better, than other restaurants in the city that charge 2x the price for the same thing.
I always do take out and they are incredibly fast, ready within 5 minutes every time I order so everything is always super hot.If this is your first time ordering you have to get the nachos, which are always so packed with toppings and well worth it, get them with spiced beef. Also get a burrito which is amazing and they use such fresh ingredients.I would also get the fajita quesadilla which chipotle chicken, it's so good, pair it with hot salsa .Food: 4/5Speed: 5/5I'm giving Mixteco four stars because the food is kind of expensive. For example a la carte tacos can be $4.95, which honestly is crazy for a few bites of food and makes it one of the most expensive tacos in the area. I always get the fajita quesadilla which is 8.99 but then with chicken it brings the price to $12.50.Overall I'm glad this place is down the street, they run a taco Tuesday special which I think is 19.99 for 10 tacos which is a crazy good deal.
